1, Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 entitled “DepEd Child Protection Policy”
which stipulates the policy and guidelines on protecting children in schoo! from abuse, violence,
exploitation, discrimination, bullying and other forms of abuse, all public and private
elementary and secondary schools shall build the capacities of school personnel, pupils,
students, and parents to understand and deal with child abuse, exploitation, violence and
discrimination cases, bullying and peer violence.
2. In this connection, the Schools Division of Oriental Mindoro will conduct the Division
Training on Child Protection by clusters and by batch on the following dates and venues

3 The training aims to:
a. discuss with them the measures to protect the children from abuses, exploitation, violence,
discrimination and other related cases,
b. capacitate participants on child protection,
c. apply positive and non-violent discipline in everyday teaching, and
d. revisit/tevise school child protection policy
4. ‘The expected participants in Batches 1, 3 & 4 are SDO officers and personnel including
PSDS, nurses and school/district bookkeepers and disbursing officers, teaching and non-
teaching personnel without training on child protection from School Year 2016 -2017, 2017-
2018 & 2018-2019
5) ‘The Training Team shall be composed of the Child Protection Specialists and Guidance
‘Counselors/Coordinators.
6. Registration fee of Php 900.00 shall be collected to each participant for meals and
snacks for three days. However, the expenses for the SDO personnel, trainers, parents and
Oriental Mindoro Federation of Parent-Teachers Association (OMFPTA) officers, Supreme
Pupil Government (SPG) officers and Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers without
training on Child Protection shall be charged to Division MOOE.
7. Registration, travel expenses of the participants may be charged to school Fund/MOOE,
and/or GAD Funds while the participants from the SDO, OMFPTA Officers, SPG and SSG
officers trainers, working committees, chairs, sound system, training materials, photocopy of
‘materials, certificates, tarpaulin and other incidental expenses shall be charged to division
MOOE and/or GAD Funds, subject to the usual accounting rules and regulations.

8 Further, private schools may also send participants - their teaching and non-teaching
personnel without 3-day training on Child Protection,
9. This shall be a live-out training. Participants are advised to come to the venue as
early as 7:00 AM. Daily program starts at 7:30 AM.
10. Attached are copies of training matrix, training team, and list of participants by batch
and district.
11. Relative to this activity, participants shall be entitled to service credits in accordance
with DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2013 entitled Updated Guidelines on Grant Vacation Service
Credits to Teachers while non-teaching personnel shall be provided with Compensatory
Overtime Credit (COC) per Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Department of Budget and
Management (DBM) Joint Circular No. 2, s. 2004 on Non-Monetary Remuneration for Over
Time Services Rendered.
