A. Preparation
1. Routine Activity
- Opening Prayer
- Greetings
- Checking of Attendance
2. Reinforcement Activity of the Previous Lesson about devices in fluorescent lamp?
- What is the purpose of fluorescent lamp?
- What are the devices needed to operate fluorescent lamp?
3. Motivation of the New Lesson:
The teacher will present a game about jumble letters.
 Jumble letters are presented on the board and the student will identify what the
word is.
 From that words the students will identify the topic for the day.

JUMBLE LETTERS CLUES

1. ASSESMBLNIG To put together the parts.

2. FLUORECSNET Strikingly bright, vivid, or glowing

Any of various devices furnishing artificial light, as by electricity or
3. LMAP gas.
4. Removal of Difficulties
 Ballast – A device that maintains the current through a fluorescent or mercury lamp at
the desire constant value.
 Starter – A tube light circuit to provide an initial current to filaments of the tube light.
 Filament – A conducting wire or thread with a high melting point, forming part of an
electric bulb or made incandescent by an electric current.
B. Presentation
 Discuss about safety Precautions.
 Steps in wiring fluorescent lamp.
1. Connect Line 1 to the terminal 1 of the ballast.
2. Connect terminal 2 of the ballast to the terminal 1 of the second filament.
3. Connect terminal 2 of the second filament to the terminal 2 of the starter switch
4. Connect terminal 1 of the starter switch to the terminal 2 of the first filament.
5. Connect terminal of the first filament to Line 2.
C. Application
- The students will be divided into 3 groups and each group will be given 10 minutes
assemble a fluorescent lamp.
D. Generalization
- The teacher will ask the student of what are the steps in wiring fluorescent lamp on
their own word.
E. Evaluation

Chronological arrangement (5 pts)

Directions: Rearrange the following procedures in their proper order. Use numbers to indicate
their order of precedence.

1. Connect Line 1 to the terminal 1 of the ballast.

2. Connect terminal 2 of the first filament to Line 2.
3. Connect terminal 2 of the ballast to the terminal 1 of the second filament.
4. Connect terminal 2 of the second filament to the terminal 2 of the starter switch.
