Pre-Assement Data Sped424-2

This document contains pre-assessment data and observations for students in a 1st grade math class. It includes each student's performance on individual test items, with notes about any issues. Scores ranged from 7 to 11 out of 12, with an average (mean) of 9. Most students scored a 9 or 10. One student was given a more advanced separate assessment and scored well. The data will help teachers identify areas where students struggled, such as subtraction and sequencing, to guide instruction.

*** One child in our group is above average. Mr. Huish and I decided to give Jameson a
seperate and more challenging assessment. Jameson received 17 out of 20 subtraction
problems correct on first grade level. Jameson scored 11 out of 15 on a greater than, less than,
and equal to worksheet. The four problems he scored incorrectly was left blank. I asked
jameson why he did not answer the question and his reply was “I do not know what that means”.

Range 7-11 The lowest score was 7 and the highest score was 11. Only one
student scored 7 out of 12. More students scored a 10 out of 12.

Mean 9 Most of the students scored 9 out of 12. Despite the class range
being within 7-11, the average and the median of the scores were 9
and the mode 10.
