I. OBJECTIVES
• Identify adverbs of place;
• Write sentence using adverbs of place;
• Showing love how to take care of the nature.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Identifying the Adverbs of Place
Reference: English Learner's Materials pp. 270-273
Materials: Pictures, visual aids, chart, and real objects
Values: Be Environment Friendly

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Drill
• Group the students into four (4) and let them arrange a "Puzzle
Pictures".
2. Review
• Reading words with Personal Pronoun
3. Unlocking of difficulties
• Adverbs- a word that describe a verb, an adjective, another adverb or
a sentence and that is often used to show time, manner, place or degree.
4. Motivation
• Let the students read the following words.

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation of the new lesson
• The teacher will say "Our lesson for today is all about Identifying the
adverbs of place”.
2. Discussion
An Adverb may describe or modify a verb, an adjective, or another
adverb.
• A word that answers WHERE is an ADVERB OF PLACE.
Examples:
= In the table = At the park = Upward
= At the Zoo = In the garden = away
= Everywhere = behind the tree = Around

3. Generalization
• What is Adverbs of place?
• Give some examples.
4. Application
• Reading a dialog and let the students find the Adverbs of Place.

IV. EVALUATION
Direction: Identify and underline the Adverbs of Place in each sentence.

1. There are many people at the park.


2. Some boys hide behind a tree.
3. There are children playing everywhere.
4. Some girls are skating inside the skating ring.
5. Others are riding their bikes around the park.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Direction: Complete each sentence by writing the appropriate adverbs of
place. Choose your answer from the box below.
