Title: Make A Paperclip Float Materials

The document provides instructions for 5 science experiments: 1) Making a paperclip float using tissue paper and a bowl of water. 2) Cleaning pennies with vinegar and salt in a non-metal bowl. 3) Creating an "exploding lunchbox" reaction by sealing baking soda inside a ziplock bag with vinegar and warm water. 4) Simulating "lava" in a cup by layering vegetable oil, water, and food coloring then sprinkling salt on top. 5) Using static electricity to roll an empty soda can toward a charged balloon rubbed on hair.

 Gently drop the tissue flat onto the surface of the water
 Gently place a dry paperclip flat onto the tissue (try not to touch the water or tissue

Title: The exploding lunchbox
Materials:
 One small zip-lock bag
 3 teaspoons of baking soda
 ¼ cup of warm water
 ½ cup of Vinegar
 Tissue
Procedure:
 Go outside or at least do this in the kitchen sink
 Put ¼ cup of pretty warm water into the bag
 Add ½ cup of vinegar to the water in the bag
 Put 3 teaspoons of baking soda into the middle of the tissue
 Wrap the baking soda up in the tissue by folding the tissue around it
 You will have to work fast now, partially zip the bag closed but leave enough space to
add the baking soda packet. Put the tissue with the baking soda into the bag and quickly
zip the bag completely closed.
 Put the bag in the sink or down on the ground (outside) step back. The bag will start to
expand.

Title: Roll a Can with static electricity
Materials:
 An empty soda can
 Blown-up balloon
 A head of hair
Procedure:
 Place the can on its side on a flat smooth surface like a table of smooth floor
 Rub the blown up balloon back and forth through your hair really fast
 Hold the balloon close to the can without actually touching the can. The can will start to
roll towards the balloon without you even touching it
