I. COURSE OVERVIEW:
Power Plant Engineering basically focuses on power generation principles for real world
applications. More specifically this course is focused on application of energy principles and
power generation cycles. The main purpose of implementing this course in curriculum is to learn
about how the power is generated in a power plant and its applications.

traveling grate stokers, spreader stokers, retort stokers, pulverized fuel burning system and its
components, combustion needs and draught system, cyclone furnace, design and construction,
