Absences:

and complete assignments due during your absence. If you know ahead of time you
will be absent(vacation, doctor's appointment, etc.), you must turn in your work before
leaving.
Homework Policy:
Homework is to help you practice and improve the skills we are working on in class.
1. Homework should be turned in on the day it is due. Late work will automatically
be marked missing until turned in.
2. Students have until the end of each unit to turn in missing assignments. Once
the unit is over, all missing assignments will be put in the grade book as a 1 and
can not be made up.
3. You must show your work on all in-class work, homework and tests/quizzes. It
is my job to help you learn and master these concepts. I can’t help you learn
from your mistakes if you don’t show your work!
Test Corrections:
The overall goal is to master the skills we are working on for each unit. Therefore, if
you earn less than 70%, you can complete test corrections. Test corrections must be
completed within one week after the tests have been handed back. Test corrections
must be done on a separate sheet of paper and have the correct answer to gain points
back on the test.
Grades:
You will be graded on a Standards-Based Grading System. Grades will be made up of
Concept grades and Characteristics of Successful Learner (COSL) Grades.
Characteristics of Successful Learner grades are made up of Vikings Core Values: Be
responsible, Be safe, Be productive and Be respectful. Concepts grades consist of
warm-ups, assessment, and projects which show mastery of each concept.
