Sample of Weld Map (Shop DWG)

This document is a sample weld map for shop Dwg. It provides a key for interpreting welding symbols on engineering drawings. The key explains that welding joints are identified with codes indicating whether they are shop (SW, S) or field (FW, F) welds. It also includes codes for weld types (butt welds, fillet welds, threaded joints), joint locations (miters), and repair/modification identifiers. Notes provide additional details on numbering conventions for cut/repaired welds, additional welds, and responsibility for communicating changes.
