Through series of activities, the Grade 11 students are expected to do the following with at least
75% accuracy;
OBJECTIVES  Differentiate exercise from physical activity,
 Discuss ways on how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, and
 Reflect on the importance of having a regular physical activity and exercise.

PROCEDURE
 The teacher asked the students about the characteristics of a physically fit person.
DRILL
 Each student wrote their answers on the board.
 Greeted the Class.
 Encourage student’s willingness to learn.
MOTIVATION
 The teacher asked: Who wants to be physically fit?
 Do you consider yourself as a physically fit individual?
The teacher asked:
ACTIVITY  What is physical activity? Exercise? Is there a difference between the two?
 The teacher conducted the lesson about physical activities and exercise.
 The teacher asked the following:
 What is physical fitness?
ANALYSIS
 What are the different classifications of exercise?
 What are the benefits of exercise?
 What are the barriers of having an active lifestyle?
 The teacher presented pictures comparing the active individual from the inactive
individual.
ABSTRACTION
 The following were asked to students:
 Which of the following is most likely to do more physical activity?
 What do you think is the reason/s why there are only few people engaged in an active
lifestyle?
The teacher divided the class into 4 groups. (Group Activity)
 The students were asked about the benefits of having an active lifestyle.
APPLICATION  For 3 minutes, the students will write on the board as many as they can about the benefits
of physical activity and exercise.
 The group which has the most number of benefits, gets 10 pts.
Seat work: (5 pts. Each)
EVALUATION  As a student, how will you promote active lifestyle in the school?
 What is the role of physical activities in the development of a person?
ASSIGNMENT Advance reading/studying on the different principles of Exercise Training.
