Love and Help Children-story#1

In a busy bus station, there is a little girl sitting all alone on a bench. She stares at the
floor as all the busy travelers rush around her. She does not move.

Some of the people are in such a big hurry that they do not notice her. Other people
look at her, but they think, "She is not my daughter. She is someone else's
responsibility. I am sure her mother and father must be close." They continue running
to where they need to go.

After some time, a man stops next to the girl. He is very tired after a long day of work,
and he just wants to get to his home as quickly as possible so that he can be with his
family. But he cannot just leave this little girl alone. He cannot see her parents
anywhere. The little girl is no older than his own little daughter!

The man walks up the girl. "Hello," he says. "Are you all right? Are your parents here
with you?"

The little girl does not even look up at him. He gently sits down next to her and
touches her shoulder. Now she lifts her head, and he can see that she is crying. He feels
terrible!

But he gives her a very warm smile and holds out his hand. She looks scared, but she
takes his hand and lets him lead her to the bus station information desk. He helps her
sit down on a chair next to the desk and explains the situation to the security guard.

The guard makes an announcement over the speakers. "Attention: a young girl is
waiting for her parents at the information desk. If you are looking for your daughter,
please come immediately! Thank you."

A couple of minutes later, a woman comes running toward the desk. As soon as she
sees the little girl, she shouts and runs up to her. She lifts the girl into her arms and
holds her very tight. Then she separates herself from her daughter and looks at her
face while she says, "I am here, Andrea. Everything is okay. I love you, honey."

Then she turns and greets the man. "Thank you so much, sir," she says. "We got
separated in the crowd earlier. My daughter is deaf, so I could not make an
announcement over the speakers for her. I was looking for her everywhere. I was so
worried!"

Now the man understands why the little girl did not look at him until he touched her
shoulder. He feels happy that he has helped. It must have been very scary for little
Andrea and her mother! He smiles and thinks of how he will tell his family about this.
He is a father, too. He knows how important it is to love and help all children.
Take Care of Yourself- story#2

Valerie studies at a big university. At the same time, she maintains a full-time job so
that she can pay for her tuition and her living expenses. So Valerie spends most of the
day at the office, then goes to class three days a week. She also stays up late at night to
study for her classes.

Valerie does not do any physical exercise. Between work and university, she is so busy
that she thinks she does not have time for any physical activity.

Sadly, she rarely eats home-made meals. She usually just grabs a bag of chips or a
hamburger as she leaves her office to take the bus to university. Since she is convinced
that she does not have time to make a healthy dinner when she gets home, she eats
lots of pizzas that she orders over the phone.

After dinner, she starts studying and preparing her assignments. Valerie does not
sleep very much because of it. She feels grumpy when she wakes up early in the
morning, and she is irritable at work. After her long day, she feels tired in class, and it
is hard for her to concentrate.

To make matters even worse, Valerie keeps getting sick. This makes her miss work
and class. She is miserable! She just wants to feel good. Her grades start to go down
because of her illnesses. As she thinks about her whole life situation, she gets so
frustrated that she does not even want to study anymore.

During her mid-year break, Valerie decides to make some big changes. First, she
learns how to make some easy, healthy recipes. She actually finds that she saves a lot
of money by preparing her food herself, and the food tastes much better too! After an
early dinner and some quiet reading, Valerie goes to bed early every night. Now she
really feels refreshed in the morning.

Then she decides to give something else a try. Her office is not really so far from her
university, so one day after work she tries walking there. As she walks down the
street, looking at all the people, the shops, and the movement in the city, she
remembers how much she hates being stuck on the bus in traffic. In fact, she finds that
she can get to class almost as fast by walking. And she is so much happier when she
arrives!

When the semester begins, Valerie maintains her healthy habits. She sets time aside
on the weekends to study and do her assignments. Because she is sleeping and eating
better now, she can finally concentrate and needs to spend much less time studying.

It is a huge improvement. Valerie saves money on food and transportation, she has
much more energy, she feels less stressed, and her grades are better. She is glad she
finally started to take care of herself. Now she finally enjoys all of her different
activities and feels happy about her life
Be Worthy of Trust-story#3

Angela and Darren have two children. Their son, Kyle, is twenty years old. He helps
them take care of his little sister, Rita, who is only six. He loves her very much, and he
is happy that he can help his parents to take care of her. But sometimes it can feel like
a lot of work.

One Friday afternoon, Kyle's parents both have to work late. They ask him to pick Rita
up at school in the afternoon. Of course Kyle says yes, because he does not have any
plans and he knows it is very important to help his parents when he can.

Around 3:00 in the afternoon, Kyle gets a call on his cell phone from his best friend,
Peter.

"Kyle! Forget about whatever plans you had for today!" his friend exclaims. "Jessica's
mother just offered to let us use her country house this weekend!"

The only thing their friend Jessica can ever talk about is her mother's enormous,
luxurious country house. It has lots of bedrooms, a huge swimming pool, and an well-
equipped gym room. They can also listen to very loud music there because there are
no neighbors to complain. Kyle and his friends always talk about going there.

"Come on, we will leave in fifteen minutes! Get ready!" Peter exclaims.

Kyle looks at his watch and thinks about how much fun he could have with his friends
in the country. He knows the teachers at Rita's school will call his grandmother if he
does not pick her up. He hesitates for a moment, very tempted to go with his friends.

But of course he knows he cannot let his parents and sister down and leave Rita alone.
He tells his friend thank you for the invitation, but he has made a promise that he
really must keep. Realizing he does not have much time left, Kyle rushes to his sister's
school.

He is five minutes late, and when he gets there, he sees that Rita is very scared and is
about to cry. She is the last student at the school, and the teachers are waiting with
her.

When she sees her big brother rushing to the door of the school, Rita smiles and
laughs with relief. She runs to him and gives him a big hug. She says she is very happy
to see him. Kyle realizes that he has done the right thing. He must always keep his
word and be worthy of trust because his decisions influence other people's lives.
