United States Patent: (10) Patent No.: US 6,838,782 B2

The document describes a wind energy capturing device for mounting on moving vehicles. The device uses a wind turbine mounted on the roof of a vehicle to capture the wind energy generated from the vehicle's movement. As the vehicle moves, the wind turbine converts the kinetic energy of the wind into rotational motion, which drives an electrical generator to produce electricity that can be stored in a battery system. The goal is to harness the otherwise wasted wind energy from vehicle movement and convert it into a useful source of electric power.
