I- Identifying Information
Program Title : 3-DAY SCHOOL BASED LIVE-OUT
TRAINING – WORKSHOP ON INCLUSIVE
EDUCATION

Program Description: This is a three (3) day Live-Out Training-


Workshop which will be attended by two (3)
Receiving Teachers in every department whom
did not have attended yet any training related to
the latter . This is phase 1 of the entire
training program on Inclusive Education.

This training workshop will develop receiving


teachers’ competence in handling pupils/students
in an inclusive classroom.

This will address the needs of the receiving


teachers in properly managing children with
special needs. This will give them a broader
spectrum in understanding and accepting CSN in
the regular school.

Pre-requisite Programs: This training is in line with the Enhanced Basic


Education Program stipulated in D.O. No. 72 s, 2009

Rationale:

Department Order No. 72. s. 2009, stipulating Inclusive Education: Strategy for Increasing Participation
Rate of Children, which embraces the philosophy of accepting all children regardless of race, size, shape, color,
ability or disability with support from school staff, students, parents and the community.
It is in this line that a Three-Day Live-out Workshop – Training on Inclusive Education will be conducted.
This is hoped to promote inclusivity in the school and classroom settings. This training will enable the SPED
Receiving Teachers to develop capacities in teaching and learning, specifically within the area of inclusive
education in the context of children with disabilities, the school and classroom setting.

Objectives:

By the end of the three (3) day training period, the participants shall have:
 Gain ideas on the salient features of inclusive education
 Identify and assess children with special needs
 Address concerns on classroom instructions of children with special needs.

End of Program Outputs:

 Action Plan for Inclusive Education

Expected Final Outcomes/Success Indicator :

Twenty-four identified teachers in every department , shall be equipped with necessary


knowledge, skills & attitudes (KSA) in cascading training on Inclusive Education
for the Phase 2 of the entire training program –Departmentalized Training-
Workshop on Inclusive Education, which will be attended by the receiving teachers
from the department who are not trained yet.

The receiving teachers will be equipped with knowledge and skills on Inclusive
Education and on crafting action plan for the implementation of inclusive education.

utilized by the Special Education Department as basis for adjustments and improvements in the
succeeding training-workshops and in other areas related to.
