So from my experience, the topic for essay is basically revolve around the
candidate.

If GD is included in the recruitment process, then might take place before the
written test, to decrease the strength of the candidate (so it will be an
elimination process).

So topics they can ask in GD are basically on present day to day topics like:-

Women empowerment.
Roll of Gandhism.
Vision of India becoming superpower in 2020.
Do we need smart cities or smart laws?
Is India still a secular state?
Is there increase in intolerance in India?
Match fixing - Cricketers to blame?

Violent Video Game affect children negatively
