Lesson Plan

I. Objectives:

At the end of the class, the students will be able to:

1. Identify basic terms in sexuality such as gender and different issues (i.e., identity crisis).
2. Discuss and analyze gender issues and concerns.
3. Assess and apply personal health attitudes that may influence one’s individuality.
II. Subject Matter:
Gender and Human Sexuality (Gender Issue: Identity Crisis)
Materials: Textbook. Laptop. Television. Marker. Bond paper.
III. Class Procedures:
A. Motivation:
1. Have the students review the past lessons and the basic terms in line with the gender
and human sexuality topic.
2. Let the students watch a video presentation about identity crisis then ask the students
to share their idea or opinions about the video.
B. Class proper
1. Ask the students to share their knowledge, ideas and opinion about teenage concerns and
issues such as teenage pregnancy, identity crisis, etc.)
2. Discuss to the class the meaning and context of identity crisis and how it affects one’s
individuality and personality and also the effects on the community. Ask students from
time to time about the topic.
3. Present pictures or images of prominent personality who were considered as LGBT then
discuss their contributions in the nation building.

Application:

Let the students do the “How Well Do I Know Myself?” activity where the learners will ask to
trace their hand in a sheet of paper to and write specific behavior in each finger as guided by
question in each component.

Evalaution/Generalization:

Ask the students to explain the context of identity crisis and how it affects one’s individuality
and the community.

Ask them also to share their answers based on the activity given (How Well Do I Know Myself).

Assignment:

Write a poem or essay about “Who really Am I?”.
