Dynamic Mode of Qi Relegation
Dynamic Mode of Qi Relegation
OBJECTIVE: -
➢ This demonstrate about inductive charge in a battery car wirelessly.
➢ The charge can be received by a battery car when the car is on the inductive charging
surface after parking in the right place.
SOFTWARE REQUIED: -
➢ MATLAB
➢ PROTEUS
ABTRACT: -
➢ Charging time and power transfer efficiency are the main challenges of wireless power transfer
for electric vehicles. This project is to resolve both issues using the transformer induction
concept as well as adaptive robotic technology. A high efficiency WPT system for electric
vehicle charging that carries a receiving coil.
➢ A prototype is built and tested to verify the feasibility of the proposed design with unity power
factor can be achieved over an air gap of 8cm and maximum sliding distance of 10 cm under
various power conditions and output voltage is produce up to 15V approximately. It uses
solar energy to produce electric voltage.
INTRODUCTION: -
➢ Magnetic WPT systems rely on magnetic field coupling to transfer electric power between
two or more magnetically coupled coils across relatively large air gap.
❖ TYPES OF CHARGING: -
➢ A plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) is any motor vehicle that can be recharged from an
external source of electricity, such as wall sockets, and the electricity stored in the
rechargeable battery packs drives or contributes to drive the wheels. PEV is a subset of
electric vehicles that includes all-electric or battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in
hybrid vehicles (PHEVs)
WIRELESS OR INDUCTIVE CHARGING
➢ In this type of wireless charging that uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between
two objects through electromagnetic induction. This is usually done with a charging station.
Energy is sent through an inductive coupling to an electrical device, which can then use that
energy to charge batteries or run the device.
➢ Induction chargers use an induction coil to create an alternating electromagnetic field from
within a charging base, and a second induction coil in the portable device takes power from
the electromagnetic field and converts it back into electric current to charge the battery. The
two induction coils in proximity combine to form an electrical transformer. Greater distances
between sender and receiver coils can be achieved when the inductive charging system uses
resonant inductive coupling.
LITERATURE SURVEY: -
➢ EXISTING SYSTEM: -
➢ DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING: -
➢ Slow charging, typically 3-5 miles of range per hour
➢ More expensive to install
➢ Potentially higher impact on peak demand charges for business locations.
➢ Significantly more expensive than Level 1 or Level 2 equipment and high voltage 3
phase power connections to utilities further increases installation costs
➢ Potentially increased peak demand charges for commercial locations. Completing
standards are confusing to potential EV buyers and charging station operators
➢ Potential issues with cold weather operation.
PROPOSED SYSTEM: -
➢ In this proposed system, we implement microcontroller based wireless power charging
methodology in electric vehicles. This system consists of PIC microcontroller,
inductive coils, vehicle prototype module,
➢ Power is transfer to the road having the inductance primary coil from 230v AC supply.
➢ Vehicle having the secondary coil.
➢ If the vehicle stands on the charging pad, the vehicle gets charged statically.
➢ By this we can able reduce the pollution of air and demand in petroleum products.
HARDWARE EXPLANATION: -
➢ At the transmitter side, solar energy is used to produce the electric voltage which is
stored in battery.
➢ For the purpose of converting DC power to AC power inverter is used.
➢ In this PIC is used to switch the transmission power.
➢ Using induction coil, the magnetic field is created between transmitting coil and
receiving coil which induces the electromagnetic force to transfer power from source
to load.
➢ At the receiver side, received power is stored in battery for drive the electrical vehicle.
ADVANTAGES: -
• High speed switching.
• Low power losses, Low cost implement.
