Reading

Read the email from Laura to her family.

Dear Mum and Dad,

I’m in San Francisco now and it’s a great city, very modern and interesting.
There are lots of places to see. Everyone knows about Chinatown but there
are lots of Japanese people too. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and we
went to Japantown to a fish restaurant. We ate sushi. I loved it! We drank
some Japanese wine but I didn’t like it.
On Friday we went to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was beautiful and we walked
on it but we didn’t go to the end – it’s 2.5 km to the other side! In the
afternoon, we went to Fisherman’s Wharf and went shopping for a new digital
camera. It was $200. There were thousands of tourists there, it was very
crowded .We visited an ice cream factory. American ice cream is fantastic!
Yesterday we went to a beach but we didn’t go swimming because the sea
was cold.
I’m having a great time. Please send me an email soon. How are you all?

We arrived in Bilbao on Friday night. We went to our hotel and had dinner. I

Guggenheim Museum. It was very interesting and modern. Then we went to a
market and bought a bag and sunglasses.
In the evening we went to a concert in the park. It started at 11pm! On Sunday
we drank wine in a café in the square. People were playing Spanish guitar
music. We had a really good time.
