· All assignments have been carefully planned in such a way that students
continue the learning process during the holidays, using a variety of interesting
activities.
· Students must to bring back their charts / posters and other projects to school
after the holidays.
· Parents are expected to explain each homework to the child. However, the
activities / projects, creative work, book reports, essays and sentences must
be the work of the child. Parental help and guidance is to be provided only
where indicated / needed.
· Students should use loose sheets to do these assignments / activities except
where indicated otherwise.
· The syllabus covered so far during the 1st Term should be revised thoroughly
during summer holidays.
· Students should make their own scrap book where needed.
· Ask your child to read any Urdu or English story books and then repeat the
story to you in his/her own words to develop reading and speaking skills (at-
least 3 stories)

a. Tick, Tock, Tick Tock.
Keep a track of everything you do for an entire day and conclude the
elapsed time. Create a timeline for that day. Also create a timeline for your
life focusing on special levels e.g. date of birth, first tooth, when you started
walking, when you started talking, when you could feed yourself, when your
were toilet trained, when you started going to school etc.
Science / Social Studies
1. Sad Tooth – Happy Tooth
Instructions: take two cut outs in the shape of a tooth. On the happy tooth cut
out stick / draw pictures of things which make our teeth healthy and on the sad
tooth paste/draw picture of things that cause our tooth to decay.
2. With your mother’s permission, go to the kitchen; take a spoonful each of
sugar, tea, salt and flour. Try to dissolve them one by one in water. Make a
chart & put a tick in the correct column.

3. Book of facts:
Make a fact file on endangered species:
a. pictures and names of endangered animals in the world with names
b. characteristics (3-5 sentences)

4. Paste or draw pictures of a bird and a butterfly. Draw life cycles of these on
A-4 paper and label the various stages.
5. Study the map of Pakistan and write down the names of the four provinces,
five rivers and three mountain ranges of Pakistan (Refer to Oxford Atlas
Project for Pakistan)

6. Choose one of the mountain ranges of Pakistan (Hamalayas, Karakoram,
Hindu Kush). Research about the mountain range and make a scrap book
about it (approx 4-6 pages). You may take help from the Internet or reference
books.
7. Select a hero from History of Pakistan, collect information about his/her life
from the internet & make a book.
