RE : 2017 INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN UP

01. By virtue of the PRESIDENTIAL PROCLAMATION NO. 470 and in observance of the GLOBAL
COASTAL CLEAN-UP CELEBRATIONS, the International Coastal Clean Up (ICC) is one among the
among the largest global efforts to educate people and create solutions to the problems of solid waste and litter
in our waters. This year’s theme is “Together for our Ocean”.

02. Relative to this, the field is hereby informed of the 2017 INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN UP on
September 16, 2017 at 6:00 to 11:00 AM at BAYWALK, MANILA.
03. REGISTRATION: The BSP-MMSC shall be collecting an amount of THREE HUNDRED FIFTY PESOS
ONLY (PHP. 350.00) to defray administrative and operational cost which includes souvenir T-shirt and
neckerchief.
a. RESERVATION AND DOWN PAYMENT of Two Hundred Pesos (PhP. 200.00) shall be on or
before September 14, 2017.
b. FULL PAYMENT shall be on or before September 16, 2017 at 5:00AM. Only those who have
remitted full payment will be given utmost priority to the availability of souvenirs.
c. LATE & WALK-IN participants shall be require to pay a registration fee of Four Hundred Pesos
Only (PhP. 400.00), thus souvenirs shall be subjected to availability.

04. QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS: Registered Scouts and Scouters must submit the following:
a. Parent’s Permit a day before the trip
b. Registration Form to be submitted on or before SEPTEMBER 14, 2017.
c. Scouts across scouting sections are enjoined to participate, however it is reiterated that Kid and Kab
Scouts must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
05. THINGS TO BRING:
a. Two(2) pieces of garbage bag or sack or netbag;
b. Hand shields such as Rubber/plastic/kitchen glove;
c. Tongs for picking of small garbage, d. Data form,(to be provided by the Council)
e. Ballpen; f. Bandana/hat/cap;
g. Alcohol or hand sanitizer; h. Food and water;
i. Long pants or jogging pants, j. Rubber shoes or any closed shoes; Extra T-shirts;
k. First Aid Kits
06. ADVANCEMENT: All scouts shall be entitled of appropriate merit badges related to the activity. Thus,
scouts which completed the required merit badges in respective rank shall be promoted to the next rank.
07. PROVISIONS:
a. It is reiterated that payments of souvenir shall be voluntarily
b. Participants shall be responsible of their Transportation back and forth.
c. Public Elementary and Secondary Teachers participation in this training shall be sujected to:
i. DepEd Order No. 76, Series of 2012 entitled “Guidelines on Revitalizing Boy Scouting
nationwide;
ii. DECS Memorandum No. 143, Series of 1997, Re: Service Credits to be granted for
Attending Scouting Activities.
iii. DECS Order No. 99, Series of 1999, Re: Credits for BSP Awards

I understand that participation in scouting activities involves a certain degree of risk and can be physically, mentally,
and emotionally demanding. I have carefully considered the risk involved and have given consent for myself or my child to

abide by applicable rules and regulations and standards of conduct. I release the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, the Local Council,
the activity coordinators, and all Professional Staff, Volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with the activity
from any and all claims or liability arising out of this participation.

In case of emergency involving my child, I understand every effort will be made to contact me. In the event I cannot be
reached, I hereby give my permission to the medical provider selected by the adult leader in charge to secure proper treatment,
including hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, or injections of medication for my child. Medical providers are authorized to
disclose to the adult in charge examination findings, test results, and treatment provided for purposes of medical evaluation of
the participant, follow-up and communication with the participant’s parents or guardian, and/or determination of the participant’s
ability to continue in the program activities.
