ACKNOWLEDGMENT

This research would not have been accomplished without the guidance

and help of several individuals who in one way or another contributed and

extended their valuable assistance in the preparation and completion of this

study.

This research is dedicated to the researchers' parents who have given

them opportunity to an education, inspiration beyond measure, encouragement

without any doubt, and support throughout their lives.

The researchers would like to express their profound gratitude to Sir Arniel

A. Dumigsi for his excellent supervision as the research teacher who extended

endless support and sincere devotion of time and energy that helped the

researchers hurdle the obstacles in the completion of this study.

Furthermore, they would like to extend their appreciation to the members

of the panel committee: Dr. Sherlyn C. Tipayno, Dr.Carlito P. Laurean, and Mr.

Paul Joseph A. Nuval for sharing their insights and knowledge for the betterment

of the study. Their suggestions, corrections, and technical advice for the

improvement of this manuscript were extremely helpful and have served to focus

this research into something practical.

They are also indebted to the faculty and staff of the Department of

Biology who have persuaded and provided knowledge which helped them build

confidence until this point in the University.


Moreover, the researchers would like to thank the Department of Soil

Science for lending them all the needed laboratory apparatus in the study's soil

analysis. Also, the researchers are grateful to Ms. Valerie Baniwas and

Prof.SalvacionBeligan from theDepartment of Math-Physics-Statistics for

providing insights in the proper statistical treatment of the researchers' climatic

data.

They would also like to thank the staff of the BSU-PAGASA

Meteorological Center and La Trinidad Municipal Planning and Development

Office (MPDO) for providing pertinent data, information, and assistance.

Furthermore, they would like to express thanks to the respondents of the

study for sparing and sharing some of their precious hours to discuss and answer

the questionnaire of the researchers- to the Barangay officials of Balili and Pico

La Trinidad, Benguet, thank you for accommodating and sharing your time.
