An Opinion Discussion Type Task

Some people feel that boarding schools (where students or pupils live at the school during the term)
are an excellent option for children, while othe people disagree for a number of reasons. Consider
both sides of this debate and reach a conclusion.

It is considered by some that sending their children to boarding school benefits towards the
children’s study performance and personality growth. While others find the disadventageous of
studying in boarding school. This essay will discuss from both point of views as to boarding school is
beneficial to develope the children.

Parents seem to think that boarding school can give a better education. Their children live in good
environment to study which help them concern on learning process. It contributes to improve their
education achievement. Example can be seen in school activities. Every student follows the study
under teacher supervision intensively and get academic exposure massively throughout numerous
tasks. They spend more time to gain lesson with less distractions. This condition helps students focus
a lot more on their study. As a result, they can comprehend the subject well and obtain good grade.
Besides, the pupils can learn to rely on themselves. As they live in boarding school, the students are
taught to manage their lives independently. These range from managing time to coping with the
problem without asking parent for help. For instance, the students who join boarding school live in a
dorm. They have to manage their time to wake up in the morning, study, clean the room and do
other regular basis activities. This habit sharps their personality to be more independent and
dicipline which are needeed as they grow up.

By contrast, there are obvious disadventageous to children who study in boarding school. As they
grow separately from parent will lead less opportunity to build the bond between parents and
children. It can most likely make relationship between them alienated. In addition, children in
boarding school are exposed with tight schedule. It would seem that they get much pressure and
boredom as well. For instance, since they have to fulfill the schedule given by school, the pupil lack
of time to socialise and rest. Also, they do not plenty of time to get rid of boredom outside the
school.

In conclusion, attending boarding school is beneficial to the students’ academic and personality.
While, some people believe that boarding school put much pressure to student. However, it seems
to me that the adventageous outweighs the disaventageous.
