Homework Expectations

Students in 5th grade can expect the following homework: Math assignments will start in class and most should be completed at school, with any unfinished work to be finished at home. Spelling and grammar assignments will include a cursive practice sheet and writing 10 sentences using the spelling words, due every Friday. Reading homework involves reading for at least 20 minutes daily to keep other assignments light.

Homework Expectations

Welcome Back!

Here are a few things to expect for homework:

Math: We will start our daily homework assignments in school. Most, if not all, of
this should be completed at school. Any work not completed will be sent home to
finish, and expected to be returned the next day. Absent students can utilize the
online features to catch up on missing work.

Spelling: We are doing a spelling/grammar assignment. You may see a cursive

sheet as well as a page to write 10 sentences using their spelling words. This will
be due every Friday.

Reading: We kept the other homework light to give you time to read, read, read!
Try to read daily at least 20 minutes.

Thank You!
