Seeing Me Through You

Objectives: This aims to enable student to make a comparison between him/herself view of him/herself and the observation of others. This will lead to the awareness of
student’s characteristics that will either be confirmed or negated by another people’s impression.

Procedure:

In a piece of paper, make a table.


The table on the left column, put what you think of yourself (traits, abilities, and strengths). Write what you think.
The table on the right column, put what others think of you (traits, abilities, and strengths). Go around, chose someone who is close to you and ask “What can you say about
me?”
Write the answer on the right column.

Note: Students are encouraged to be honest, sincere, and objective in telling how they see one as a person.

Discussion/Sharing
1. What did you feel when you were completing the table?
2. Did you have a hard time thinking of answers for both columns?
3. Does your perception of yourself coincide with the perception of others to you?
