Statistical Method

The document discusses the statistical methods used to analyze survey results. Frequency, percentage, and average weighted mean were calculated. Frequency and percentage were used to determine respondent profiles by dividing the frequency by the total responses. Average weighted mean was used to determine the extent of attitudes and intentions toward purchasing green products, calculated by summing the weight of each response. Formulas for percentage and average weighted mean are provided.

Statistical Method

Objective 1:

For problem number 1 frequency and percentage were used to determine the profile of
respondents. Percentage was obtained by dividing the frequency of response by the total number of
respondents and multiplying it by one hundred.

The Formula:

X 100= P

Where:

F= frequency

N= total number of respondents

P= percentage

For formula number 2 and 3, average weighted mean was used to determine the Extent of the
consumer’s attitude and consumer’s intention in purchasing green products of the respondents in PSU
Asingan Campus. The formula for Average Weighted Mean was based on the book “Research and Thesis
writing” by Calmorin.

The Formula:

AWM= ∑ 𝑓𝑥

Where:

AWM= Average Weighted Mean

X= Weight of the specific category/responses

N= Total number of respondents

∑= Summation sign
