Syllabus
Primary Teacher/ Assistant Teacher
Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board conducts Primary Teacher / Assistant Teacher
(PRT) exam for vacancies in Delhi Government Schools, MCD, NDMC and Delhi Cantonment
board schools. Here is the syllabus of this exam:
Section - A:- There are total 100 MCQs of one mark each as per existing examination scheme.
Each topic covers 20 marks for 20 questions.
1. General Awareness.
2. General Intelligence & Reasoning ability.
3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability.
4. Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension.
5. Test of English Language & Comprehension.
Section- B:- There are MCQs of one mark each from the subject concerned (teaching
methodology/ B.El.Ed./ D.Ed./ NTT/ JBT etc.). There will be 100 questions for 100 marks.
Note:
1. Applicants must have to qualify in Section A & B separately as per their category
(UR/OBC/SC/ST/PH/ExSm) minimum qualifying marks. However, final merit will be
prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of both the section A & B
2. Negative Marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each
wrong MCQ answer.
Syllabus Section-A
(iv) Hindi Language & Comprehension and English Language & Comprehension:
In addition to the testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English
and Hindi Languages, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms,
Antonyms and its correct usage etc. would also be covered.
Syllabus Section-B
Post specific subject related questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the
subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules for the post.
There will be total 100 questions including questions on child psychology, child development,
languages, pedagogy of Maths and pedagogy of EVS along with questions on teacher
awareness such as education policies, reforms and matters related to education system in
India.
