Former US President Abraham Lincoln once wrote, “[And] in the end, it’s
not the years in your life that count. [But] the life in your years.”

Tonight is a celebration of both the years and the life of Ms. Delilah
Sandoval-Galagala.

Good evening everyone, I am ______________ and I will be your host for


this evening.

All of us gathered here have been a part of Madam Laila’s life- one way or
another. Kung baga, we travel back memory lane tonight as we reminisce the
good 50 years Madam Delilah has shared with us.

Tonight is all about you, Madam Laila. It’s a celebration of your amazing
golden years.

Madami pa pong naka-prepare na surprises para sa inyo. Because tonight,


we celebrate you.
3. INTRODUCTION OF THE FAMILY

Before anything else, gusto ko po munang ipakilala sa inyong lahat ang mga
espesyal na mga tao sa buhay ng ating golden lady.

Now people say that the most widely known language in any part of the world is
music. Sabi nga nila, masaya ang tao, nakikinig ng music, heartbroken, nakikinig din
ng music. We have with us tonight a special rendition to serenade us and to bring
back memories of yesteryears.

Please put your hands together for Ms. Emma Jaboneta.

Parang bago po sa akin ang mga kinanta nilang songs. Hindi ko pa ‘ata
generation yung mga songs na ‘yun. But thank you very much Emma. I’m
pretty sure madaming memories ang nababalik ng mga songs niyo sa ating
mga guests tonight. We shall hear more some amazing music later.

But for now, we proceed to one of the most important parts of this celebration:
enjoying each other’s company over good food prepared for us by Waterfront-
Insular Hotel. And so, to lead us in the prayer before meals, I would like to call on

Before we proceed to the buffet tables, we would like to request everyone to have
a photo-opportunity with our celebrant. Para po mas maayos at mas mabilis,
tatawagin ko ang inyong table numbers. And as I call on your table numbers, please
come here in front for a photo-opportunity with our Golden Lady. You may
approach the buffet table after Madam Delilah has taken a photo with your group.

10. CULTURAL DANCE PRESENTATION


Incidentally, today we also celebrate the National Heroes Day, that is why,
we have chosen the Filipiniana theme as a tribute to the men and women who have
contributed much to our country’s history. In the same way, we also pay tribute to
the heroes in each one of us, and for our celebrant, who in many ways, a hero to
all of us.

As a tribute to our celebrant, her siblings has prepared a special number. May I call
on the brothers and sisters of our celebrant.
Note:(As they sing My Only Love, we can request Engr. Wilfredo Galagala, Sr. to
give a bouquet to the celebrant, give a short message and to possible dance with
her as well)

13. BLOWING OF THE BIRTHDAY CANDLES


As in every birthday celebration, we have the blowing of the candles. May I request
Madam Delilah’s family to join her onstage as we sing to her a happy birthday song.

Because we are celebrating the 50th birthday of Madam Delilah, 50 lucky winner
will also receive a special prize of PhP 1,000.00 each.

Let us now take a look at what has transpired today with this special presentation
prepared by the team from Michelle Canda Photography.

According to famous John Lennon, you should “Count your age by friends, not
years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.”

With that said, if we do count Madam Delilah’s age by her friends and by the smiles
she paints on peoples’ faces, hindi lang siguro siya 50 years old ngayon. Siguro 100
na.
Ngayong gabi po, nagkaroon tayo ng pagkakataon to celebrate life and all its
blessings.
