1. The Sandals are called kelom geulis. They are made in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia.

They are
made from light wood. They are carved by hand. They are beautiful because they are painted in
beautiful colours. They are decorated with artistic pictures. The straps are made from fabric, plastic
or leather.

2. These knives are made in Indonesia. Actually they are weapons, but they are not used in wars
now. They are sold as souvenirs. They are hung on walls for decoration. The one that is shapped like
an L, is called a Rencong. It is made in Aceh. The other one is made in Kalimantan. It is called a
Mandau.

3. Jepara and Bali are well known for their beautiful wood carving. These wood carvings are made of
hard wood. They are carved by hand by very skillful traditional carvers. They are carved by using a
very sharp mullet called a tatah. The ganesha wooden sculpture is made in Bali. The wall decoration
carving is made in Jepara.
