JUNE 2019
June 1 was our monthly gathering and cookout at Texas Falls. Our Assistant
Directors cooked burgers and hot dogs and set up our picnic. We were joined by
several members of VT Chapter K from Burlington. Many thanks to them for
joining us! We had plenty of food and great conversation!
June 14, 15 was our trip to Old Forge, NY. We had somewhat chilly, rainy weather
on and off. We were able to enjoy a loop ride on Saturday and others went for a
boat ride. A few took in the Adirondack museum on their way home and found it
to be very interesting! We enjoyed a somewhat smaller car show this year! There
are always a few stores to shop in! We missed many of our members that were
unable to attend and you were always in our thoughts!
JULY 2019
July13 our chapter gathering was held in West Rutland at Ron and Patty’s. Most of
our gathering was spent assembling our centerpiece for the New England rally. It
was so much fun and we had a safety committee on site for any wrong doing!
Lunch was grilled hot dogs and salad, baked beans and whoopee pies!
July20 With the help of Rick and Betty and allowing us to spend some time at their
beautiful camper and campsite, Cheryl, Jerry, Ron and Patty assembled the poster
that proved that we all worked on the centerpiece! Many thanks to Rick and Betty
for printing the pictures and cutting them!
July 26, 27 New England “No Name Rally” this was a very busy weekend! Many
rides were scheduled, many being led or tailed by many of our chapter members.
We were so pleased to have Wayne and Judy Snow join us on many of the rides.
We hope that they will be joining our chapter! We have so much beauty in our
state and it was great to show that to everyone. What gorgeous weather, too!
Although our chapter did not win a prize for the centerpiece we did receive
honorable mention! We all agreed that as a chapter it was a lot of fun just putting
it together! There were several members at the Saturday night dinner, great
showing from our chapter!
Lastly, our centerpiece from the rally is at Ron and Patty’s, we are wondering if
members would like to see it in Maine and is there someone who could take it?
What should we do with it after? Would someone like it?
October 5 gathering will be at the Fish Pavilion (Chris and Carolle) Duke Lane,
Pittsford, VT at 2pm. It will be a Halloween costume party. Dress up and bring a
dish to share!
Our Weekend in Wells, Maine is rapidly approaching.
Please Note:
All VT Chapter A members are reminded to bring at least one item per person
attending to be placed in the Chinese Auction
