GRAB
Grab Holdings Inc (branded as simply Grab) is a transportation network company
founded in Malaysia and now based in Singapore. In addition to transportation, the
company offers food delivery and digital payments services via mobile app. It
operates in the Southeast Asian countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia. It is the region's first
"decacorn" (a startup with a valuation of over US$10 billion).

Grab is a company that operates a ride-hailing platform that offers car booking
service. The Company is focused on the development of new commuting and
payment alternatives for drivers and passengers. It also offers private car services,
motorcycle taxis, social carpooling, bus and shuttle service, cycling services.

Grab is one of the safest transportation applications in Southeast Asia. therefore grab
provides good service for the community. Some are safe grab transportation
platforms:
 Filtering. Every driver and vehicle will be checked during registration and must
maintain the star rating above the minimum standard set.
 Training and Code of Ethics. We always improve the training system and Code of
Ethics to ensure the best service.
 Security Features. We continue to innovate for your security. In fact, we
introduced the first "Share My Ride" feature in the industry.
 Insurance & 24-Hour Assistance. We protect you with additional Personal
Accident protection, 24-Hour Call Center and Emergency Response Team.
Profile of Founder Grab

As mentioned earlier, one of the founders of Grab was Anthony Tan, a Malaysian
citizen and the youngest of three siblings. His father, Tan Heng Chew, an engineering
graduate, was known as one of the richest people in the country in 2015. While his
mother was a stockbroker who had enough names in Malaysia. So, it could be said
that Anthony Tan's business blood was passed down from his parents.

It was not enough to reach that point, Anthony Tan's grandfather was also a
businessman who was engaged in car assembly as well as being included in the
Japanese distribution network of cars in Malaysia, named Tan Yuet Foh. Even today
Tan Chong Motor Holdings BDN (company owned by Anthony Tan's grandfather) has
succeeded in becoming the main distributor of Japanese cars with the Nissan brand
in the country.

Anthony Tan, who graduated from the Department of Economics at the University of
Chicago in America in 2004, also received his Masters degree at Harvard Business
School in 2011

Co-founder of GrabTaxi, Tan Hooi Ling, a woman born in 1990 is also the color of
Malaysia and a graduate of Harvard Business School. Women who are fans
of this gadget also participated along with Anthony Tan founded GrabTaxi, which
until now has been downloaded more than 9 million users from 28 cities in Malaysia,
Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. It is estimated that if the
assets owned by GrabTaxi are now more than US $ 700 million.

1.1 History and understanding Grab


Grab is one of sufficient transport expanded rapidly in Indonesia especially in Medan.
Grab appeared on the Field in the year 2012. Until March 2015, the total
number of users Grab reached 3.8 million users. The grab is available for the
operating system Android, iOS and Blackberry. Grab the very ease of
society to go where they are headed. Grab also provides various facilities
such as car, bike, Grab food, delivery and others. The function of the grab
has begun to thrive in the presence of the new facilities, such as; recharge,
buy tickets hotel, membooking hotel, and others. Why you should choose

The problem of the Grab is :


1. When ordering grab food with OVO, with the amount of 100k. At first the driver
done his job, the driver bought the food and heads to deliver the food. But when he
arrives at the location he only clicked the option that he delivered the order, the
amount of the balance in OVO decreased but he didn't give the food to the ones who
ordered
2. The driver's license plate number is different from the ones written in the
application. Their reasons; because their cars broke down , still in insurance place or
in the workshop

3. Grab bike doesn't provide rain coat

4. The driver didn't listen to the passenger. The driver kept saying that he knows the
way, after an hour passed The passenger asked the driver does he know the way, he
said yes. Then an hour passed again. Usually it only takes 45 minutes , but it took 2
hours. After arriving at the location, He dropped the passenger in front of the villa, not
in front of the house, while raining.

5. Grab food ordered the wrong food, he ordered the food that is not written in the
application

2. Grab must provide the options for the driver, so when he/she changes their vehicle,
they can choose which vehicle is available for them and which one are they using to
pick up the passenger.

use Google Map.
