Listed below are the best practices in promoting love and habit for reading of Mabuga
Elementary School in accordance to Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) of the Department
of Education (DepEd).

AT THE SCHOOL LRMDS ROOM

 Availability of interesting books that students would love to read

 Providing a place conducive to reading, i.e. clean, well-ventilated, quiet

 Conducting Reading Activities that promote and motivate love for reading during the
National Reading Month

IN THE CLASSROOM

 One o’clock Reading Habit, every learner are given the chance to read, borrow and enjoy
different stories during remedial reading sessions.

 Providing a Reading Corner that contains different kinds of books that are interesting

 Big Brother and Small Brother Approach, through the collaborative effort of intermediate
pupils, they help primary learners in learning to read.

 Giving reading assignments to accomplish Home Reading Reports and Book Reviews

 Conducting Reading Activities that promote and motivate love for reading during the
National Reading Month

o Choral Reading
o Readathon
o Role Playing
