The document discusses the traditional Filipino board game "sungka" which involves a board with 7 holes on each side and large end holes for storage. Each hole starts with 7 stones that players try to move to their storage hole through turns that involve redistributing stones around the board. The rules describe how players take turns moving stones clockwise around the holes to collect stones in empty holes and try to accumulate the most stones in their storage area to win.

To advance students’ conceptual understanding, prior knowledge and questions

his two-day seminar/assembly also caters to the needs of each college in enhancing some
areas on research, faculty development, curriculum and instruction, and a lot more. It is also
a good point that this includes trends, issues and concerns that are really timely to address
the needs of our stakeholders as well as the demands and challenges of the 21st century.

he project was very, very productive, interesting and overall useful for the participants. I
personally learned many new things that would help me become a good trainer and a leader
in the future.

Teaching science has both many challenges and rewards. One of the biggest challenges
teachers face as science teachers is creating lessons that will not only get students to learn but
hold student interest. Students find it easier to stay on task when they can relate to the topic they
are studying. This stimulates them to personally involve themselves directly in the activity.

Creating new and productive ways to support science teachers depends on understanding not
only current instructional practice but also the current science teaching workforce—
specifically, its capacity to meet new curricular and instructional demands in science education

PE LARONG SUNGKA
SUNGKA
