The file should be saved in your “Downloads” directory and name should start with: VMware-Horizon-View-Client
* To determine whether your version of Windows is 32 or 64 bit go to “Start” and type “System” in the Search box.
Click “System” in the search results. System Type lists the bit version.

4. Launch the setup file and the VMware Horizon Client installer will begin.

11. Type your Marshall username and password then click “Login”.
Note: if you are using an iOS or Android device download the client from the Apple store or Google Play store.

4. Launch the setup file and the VMware Horizon Client installer will begin.

5. To accept the terms in the License Agreement
window, click the “Agree” button.
8. You will be asked if you are sure you would like to open
the application downloaded from the Internet. Click
“Open” to continue.

12. To be able to access your local drives and
removable storage devices while working
in the Virtual Desktop click “Allow”.
When you are done using the Virtual Desktop, you can quit it by
moving your mouse to the dock at the bottom of the screen and
right clicking the vLab icon.

Saving Your Files Safely
Very Important Note: Any files saved to the virtual desktop will be lost and are not recoverable.
You have a few options when it comes to saving your files while working with the virtual desktop.
o Your local computer
o Z:\ Temp Drive
o Web based file storage (such as OneDrive or Dropbox)
The files on your local computer are available through the “Computer” or “Explorer” application and are shown as
“Other” with your username and computer name listed.
