Preface
This documentation provides an information about the “School
Management System” that is intended to make the gathering of data from student,
teachers/Professors, utility or part of the school make it easy. In this we are going
to discuss how it is going to work. What are the procedures and what are the
requirements needed to access this school management system.

In this project all the manual work will be converted in computerized, so


that the work of employees will be lessen. We will also secure data loss and
different anomalies that we will or may we encounter in the near future, searching
of data will be easy, information is accurate and it is suit not only for selected
schools. This project will be useful for all schools and colleges or universities.

Introduction
Nowadays schools and universities are often facing difficulties in handling
their data. There are a lot of things that they need to be taken care which includes
management of students, information of staffs, attendance of students and other
data handling process. School Management System was conducted and made to
ensure and make data processing easier and simpler when it comes in handling
their school’s activities, incoming events and important information.

School Management System is professionally designed for backend users


to handle and manage student with ease. It is also a multi user that can be used by
a hundred of user at the same time. This means not only the administrator can
access the real time data but also those people who are part of the school. It may
help in upgrading ones school by means of capacitating school manpower works.
This will replace the manual paper work into paper –based data collection that
will provide innovative solution for keeping the data and information safe and
secured.

School Management System widely open an opportunities for schools,


universities and colleges to handle things, information and works in proper time
and use. Less paper works means more time in keeping and interacting with the
enhancing student’s skill, knowledge and capability to learn more. As we all
know that the education is the foundation of all nations.

User Requirements
In able for the frontend users and backend users to access the system, they need
the following software and application to properly use the system. In terms of
system handling, users will be informed about Performance Qualification or user
Acceptance Testing. In the system there are several Do’s and Don’ts in
performing data processes and data inputs. For more clarifications check the data
below.

User Input Limitations:

- System is made to accept data and information coming from the backend
user (only the backend users can add data to the system).
- In the admin page (localhost/index.php) username field is required or must
be filled in order to proceed to the homepage. As well as the password
field.
- Username is case sensitive.
- In dashboard page, adding information about the admin doesn’t affect any
other data inside the system. Although admin information is displayed in
the backend side of the system.
- Adding information in some function of the system such as Student page,
Teacher, Page and other functions requires the user to also fill in the
required field into the system. A field that is needed to be filled in is
denoted by a symbol (*), which clearly means it is required when adding
information.
- All fields in the system are having the same functionality aside from the
information of the users, etc.

There are seven main function in the system:

1. Add New – Let the user add information to the system.


2. Print Preview – All the data in the table will be printed.
3. Save CSV – Allows the user to save all the data in the table into a csv
format file which can be open in Microsoft Excel. With this button the
user can edit some of the user’s information event outside the system.
4. Filter – Allows the user to filter data for more specific outputs.
5. Show All – In case the user filtered some data in the table, all data will
reveal whenever the user click this button.
6. More – Consist of several buttons such as specific printing, delete, change
owner (user permission), Add more functions (in case the user wants to
add more functions/ developer side).
7. Search Bar – Allows the user to search specific data.
