EXERCISE 2.

1 – HYPERLINK

Exercise 2.1: My Quiz Game.


1. Open a MS PowerPoint Presentation and use a blank presentation.
2. On your Title Slide, Click the Text box and write My Quiz Game.
On your Subtitle text box, write Empowerment Technologies.

Use any Font style and size that you want in this slide.
3. Create another slide. On your Home tab under the Slides group click dropdown arrow of the New Slide then
click Title and Content.

4. On the Title Placeholder write What picture filetype can support 16.77 million colors? Again, use any font style
and font size.
5. Delete the content textbox below the question.
6. Insert a Rectangle: Rounded Corners shapes under the question.
Select the newly created rectangle and press ctrl+D three times to duplicate 3x.

7. Move the 3 rectangles to make it in 2 columns and 2 rows (2x2).

8. Change the color of the of each rectangle that suits your style.

9. Insert the text (see picture below) on the rectangle by double click on the shape or right click the shape then
click Edit Text. (follow the proper way of contrasting colors)

10. Create a new blank slide


11. Right-click any part of the blank presentation then click Format Background…
12. On your Format Background pane, use Solid Fill and change the color to dark red.

13. Insert and Oval shape on the center and change its shape fill to red color, outline to white color.
14. Insert WRONG ANSWER on the oval you ‘ve created. Make the font color to white and choose any font size and
style.

15. Insert another Rectangle: Round Corner at the right bottom corner of the slide and insert the text TRY AGAIN.
Change the color of the rectangle: Click the rectangle, on the shape style choose Subtle Effect- Blue, Accent 5.
EXERCISE 2.1 – HYPERLINK

16. Duplicate the Slide 3: Right-click on slide 3 then click Duplicate Slide.

17. Change the background color of the slide 4 to Blue, Accent 1, Darker 50%. Go back to number 12 on how to
change the bgcolor. Change the WRONG text to RIGHT. Also change the oval bgcolor to Blue, Accent 1. Change

the word TRY AGAIN to NEXT.


18. Duplicate Slide 2 and drag the duplicated slide at the bottom. Change the following question and choices:

19. Go Back to Slide 2. Click object with letter a and press Ctrl+K.
Click Place in This Document and choose Slide 3. Click OK

20. Do the same with the object for letter c and d. And choose Slide 4 for letter b.
21. Go to Slide 3, click the object with the text TRY AGAIN and hyperlink it to slide 2.
22. Go to Slide 4, click the object with NEXT and hyperlink it to slide 5.
23. Press Ctrl+click slide 3 and 4. Right click and click Duplicate Slide. Move the duplicated slide 5 and 6 (which will
eventually become slide 6 & 7) at the bottom.
24. Go to Slide 5, click the object for letter a, b, and c, hyperlink it to slide 6
25. Then hyperlink object for letter d to slide 7.
26. Go to Slide 6, click the object with the text TRY AGAIN and hyperlink it to slide 5.
27. Go to Slide 7, click the object with NEXT and hyperlink it to slide 1.
28. Select slide 2-7 (ctrl+click select slide) then click transitions tab, uncheck the “on mouse click”.
29. Save your work on your folder with the filename: E2_LastName_FirstName.
