Woolworths Excursion

The students at Meon Linke School will be going on an excursion to the local Woolworths supermarket to purchase ingredients for drinks they will create and review as part of their class work on review writing, volume, and capacity. The trip will take place on Tuesday, June 5th from 9:30-10:15 AM. Parents are welcome to join and assist with supervision provided by the teacher and student teacher. Permission forms are due by May 31st.

Dear Parents/ Caregivers

This term students have been learning about review writing in class. As part of our review writing
unit, students will be given the opportunity to create their own drink, make it and then write a
review of another student’s drink. This will also tie in with the curriculum links of volume and
capacity in mathematics and creating informative and imaginative texts in English.


This project will require the students to go off campus to  Woolworths to collect
ingredients for their drinks. Details as follows;

When: Tuesday 5th of June 2018 (Week 6).


Time: 9:30am- 10:15am

Where: 
 Woolworths
Cost: Students are encouraged to bring $5 each however this is not a
requirement
Transport: Walking. Woolworths is only 240 meters from the school.
Requirements: N/A
Supervision:     , Catherine Spear (student teacher).

Parents and guardians are welcome to join and assist on this excursion.
Please return this form to your child’s classroom teacher by Thursday 31st of May (Week 5) .
