The Rebalance The rebalance transfer (OES) is a dollar transfer that Vantage automatically
Transfer (OES) creates from the asset rebalance segment. Vantage calculates the total value
then determines the amount to be transferred in or out of each sub-account to
accomplish the percentages on the asset rebalance segment.
Introduction After the asset rebalance transfer, the values will reflect the percentages
requested in the asset rebalance segment.
Sub-Account Vantage calculates the value within each sub-account. Then transfers the

Introduction The VA Transfer Cheat Sheet is designed for VUL personnel to be able to QC
VA transfers (OE’s).
Guaranteed There are limits on the amount of value that may be transferred out of the
Interest GIA every policy year. Only one transfer of 25% or $1,000.00 (whichever is
Account (GIA) greater) of the GIA value is allowed per policy year. However, if the
maximum amount is transferred in a policy year, then the 2nd consecutive
policy year they may transfer 33% of the value, 3rd consecutive policy year
they may transfer 50% of the value and the 4th consecutive policy year they
may transfer 100% of the value in the GIA.
Coding an If a transfer is moving more than 25% of the value out of the GIA (and the
Override on above acceptable override conditions apply) then one field must be coded to
GIA Transfers override. The field name, on the 1st screen of the OE, is Minimum Remain
Override and must be coded a Y.

accounts. Transfers will also need to be completed for each active asset
account.
Transfers Transfers (OE) must be completed for ALL asset accounts that are in active
status.
NOTE: Transfers may NOT be taken until the end of the free look period.

taken or completed. The available asset account types are found on the CLC
screen using the case number. To verify the active asset accounts that a
participant has, you will need to go to the CP2 screen using the participant
number. An OE will need to be completed on EACH active asset account.
Allocation Allocation changes must be completed for ALL asset accounts whether they

Changes
Asset Accounts You will need to verify the asset accounts that a participant has. The asset
accounts can be found on the CP2 screen using the participant number. An
ALCI change transaction will need to be completed on EACH asset account.
Current Is there currently an active rebalancing? Each policy can only allow one active
Rebalancing rebalancing. One time rebalancing requests do not effect this restriction. * One time
rebalancing requests cannot be stopped.
Start Date A start date is only required for a specific date rebalancing. If the request is for a
calendar year rebalancing, no start date is needed.
Note 00.0 is a valid percent. This will remove all money from that sub-account upon each
rebalancing. It is very important to clarify if the client may ever want to put money
in that sub-account to stay. If the client wants to move value out of a specific sub-
account one time only and it doesn’t need to be included in the future rebalancing
transactions, you may want to process an OE, then set up the rebalancing to begin at
the next period.
Confirms and Confirmations and statements will show an asset rebalance as a Rebalance
Statements Transfer.
