ii. Course Title: Business Statistics
iii. Course Description: This course deals with statistical concepts,
principles, and methods of data collection, organization, presentation, analysis
and interpretation of both qualitative and quantitative data.
iv. Prerequisite/s (if any): None
v. Course Credit: Lecture (2 units) and Laboratory (1 units)
B. Course Goal: For students to be able to understand the statistical concepts,
principles and methods.
C. Course Outline
1. Course Outcome
At the end of the semester, with 70% proficiency, the students should be able to:
a. Understand the basic statistical concepts, principles and methods by applying
them in data organization and presentation;
b. Demonstrate the competence by using the appropriate tools needed in
answering selected types of research problems;
c. Evaluate the appropriateness of their decisions in statistical analysis by
identifying their probable results or consequences;
d. Demonstrate the competence in handling any data by performing
simple statistical analysis on selected types of research problems ; and
e. Develop appreciation of the values for effective learning as reflected in the
performance of the learner.
