Mop of Setup Ret in Sran 18sp - v1

This document provides the step-by-step procedure for setting up Remote Electrical Tilt (RET) in an SRAN 18SP base station level software in an Indosat network. It involves setting up RET for an existing or new antenna to control the antenna tilt for different frequency bands. The procedure includes configuring the RET motor, RET controller settings like control protocol and power source using the BTS Manager tool. It also describes defining the served antenna lines, base station and sector details for the RET controller. Testing and rollback procedures are also in scope to verify and recover from any issues.

1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The purpose of this document is to demonstrate the step-by-step procedure of RET

setup and configuration in BTS level SW SRAN18SP in Indosat network, using new Antenna
(Combi/Comba tripleband or Mobi_pentaband) or using exsiting Antenna (same procedure)

 Involved NE:

o eNB ( BTS LTE1800 )

o NodeB ( BTS U900 )
o BTS GSM 900
o NodeB ( BTS U2100)

 Pre-requisite:

1. Combi/Comba_Tripleband
Default setting:
Electrical = 2 degree
Mechanical = 2 degree
Min degree = 0 degree
Max degree = 10 degree

Figure 1. Degree electrical range antenna tripleband

2. Mobi_Pentaband
Default setting:
Electrical = 2 degree
Mechanical = 2 degree
Min degree = 0 degree
Max degree = 10 degree

3. Incase use existing antenna

Take awareness on existing antenna feature with support RET or not, also take a
consider SCF creation.
How to read and record existing RET setting:
• capture it from BTS Manager.
• Climb tower and see antenna sector, check the antenna tilt road.

2.3 Setup RETU band 900 (RETU-R1)

Instructions on how to setup RETU band 900 (R1), for served antenna line ANT_1, ANT_3, ANT_5 of FXDB_1/FXDA_1 and served antenna line
ANT_7, ANT_9, ANT

1. Major setting in RETU for RET-1 must be setup is : served antenna lines, Base station ID, Sector ID, Angel

 Served antenna lines, for define antenna connection band 900 in part RF module (FXDA or FXDB) sides

The More antenna lines number is described number of RF module (FXDA or FXDB) installed in the site BTS.

In this capture means: RMOD-1/ANTL-1 (FXDA number-1) while RMOD-2/ANTL-7 (FXDA number-2) is correspondent with band 900
RETU-R1.

Served antenna lines : RMOD-1/ANTL-1 (FXDA) | RMOD-2/ANTL-7

(FXDA)
Each antenna line can exist only on one antDNList in the BTS.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

 Base station ID : GDULT_PEMANGKAT_PL_XYX _ is define the site Name of BTS

Site name

 Sector ID : 1-900 (sector 1), or 2-900 (sector 2), or 3-900 (sector 3) _ for this identification must follow Standard Naming RET Indosat.
Please see supporting document for more details

The sector ID must have corelation with serial number antenna, the input parameter in site ID must correct with actual antenna
insalled is in the right sector, to cross check by validating serial number antenna.

Sector ID

 Angels: is consisting of degree value refer to RF data planning and antenna tilt range capability as of antenna specification

Angle = electrical tilt degree value as per RF data planning, range value : 0 – 90 degree. Default electrical tilt 2 degree

Mechanical angle = is value set of mechanical tilt bracket antenna as of actual install. Default mechanical tile 0 degree

Min – Max Angle = is range electrical tilt capability antenna as of specification. value of range electrical tilt between 0 – 10 degrees

For the other RET unit : Y1, Y2_band 1800, 2100 or Y3, Y4 (antenna pentaband) is the same procedure as described in RET unit R1
