TRAINING

Rescue is a specialised job that requires continuous training and experience, hours of practice

EN1891A.11mm (7/16th) rope - the only practical limitation to 'height of lift' being rope stretch and or kit weight.
The Up and Down Hauler can be used as part of a work suspension system either on tall structures or confined
spaces. A user can easily lift/lower themselves and lock themselves by using a Hand Ascender or short strop.

The unique design of the Up and Down Hauler means that an internal brake is not required and therefore the

The R-ALF is an auto-locking Pulley which locks in both directions. Fitted with a load becket, the R-ALF can be

positioning systems, in conjunction with a fall arrest
device. It enables quick and accurate length
adjustment, allowing optimal work station positioning. Standard protection

Confined space rescues require additional considerations to perform a rescue. In additional to general risks there is a
danger of asphyxiation (lack of oxygen), poisoning, or fire and explosion. A fan can be used during confined space

weight and characteristics of the atmospheric hazard as well as the environmental conditions of the general area will
dictate the type(s) of ventilation applied. Using a blower that can be used in positive or negative pressure ventilation
is ideal. The safest option is to use the UB20xx explosion proof ventilator. It prevents a source of ignition in a

injuries and fatalities in confined spaces. Ventilation of a confined space should be done to stabilize the environment. This could be to

inserted in straight position for normal carrying or in turned position for extremely steep slopes or jutting drops,
thus preventing the rescuer from slipping out with his shoulders. The length of the rear shafts allows the
rescuer to have a good visibility of the ground.
Ÿ The stretcher, complete with shoulder-shafts, has been designed for supporting a SWL load (Safety Working
Load) regularly distributed on the surface of 180 kg (safety factor 1:4). This load can never be applied in a point
only. Kong has reproduced in its laboratory the real conditions of employment of the stretcher and have
submitted it to destructive tests through static stretching. The kit for hanging the stretcher to a helicopter or
aerial rope-way can support a SWL load of kg 500. (safety factor 1:4.).
Ÿ The wide tape for dropping the stretcher, if inserted correctly according to the instructions, is guaranteed for a
SWL load of kg 400. (safety factor 1:4.)
