Grading: The Final Grade shall be computed as follows:
Mid-term grade: 1/3 Second half: 1/3 Final exam: 1/3

Course Objectives: Upon the completion of this course, the student is expected to:
1. Understand the basic concepts and principles of law in general.
2. Know his rights and obligations in relation to his acts and omissions.
3. Appreciate the importance of contract law in business.
4. To realize the value of keeping contractual and legal obligations in the
development of a more socially responsible person.

Prescribed Textbook: De Leon, Hector S., The Law on Obligations and Contracts
 The student is encouraged to read works by other authors. For more extensive
discussions of the topics, the following authors also have commentaries for
Obligations and Contracts:

a. Arturo M. Tolentino: Commentaries and Jurisprudence on the Civil Code of the


Philippines, Vol. 4
b. Emil Jurado: Comments and Jurisprudence on Obligations and Contracts
(Jurado, 2002)
