MTNL Mumbai Android Directory

Information
MTNL Mumbai is introducing new android operating system based Telephone directory application.
This application has been developed solely for android based smart phones and tablets. Since now a day
most of the smart phone available in market uses android operating system, this application will be of
great use. This application will be made available on MTNL Mumbai website for free download. Since
this application uses either data connection or SMS facility from user mobile to access our directory
information, facility will be available as long as SMS gateway and web server are working.

A. SEARCH OPTIONS

1. Search name and address by telephone number.


2. Search telephone number by name and address.
3. Search new telephone number by old telephone number.

After Installing Application On android Phone or tablet it will look like this(Picture 1).

2. Application Start
When you click on “MTNL Directory Icon” application will get start. It will first show
a splash screen (Picture 2).

3. Home screen
After a while splash screen disappear automatically and home screen will be available
where user can select different options (Picture 3).

4. Telephone search option


If user selects Telephone search a screen with input box will appear where has to enter
telephone number (Picture 4).

5. Name/Address Search Options


If user selects Name/Address search a screen with input boxes will appear where user has to
enter search parameters (Picture 5).

6. New Telephone Number Search Options


If user selects New Telephone number search a screen with input box will appear where
user has to enter search parameters (Picture 6).

7. Information Page

If user clicks on information tab, an information page will appear which is describing
different services DQS is providing (Picture 7).

8. Setting Page

If user clicks on settings tab, a screen with setting options will be available to user where
user can select what type of connection he need to use(Picture 8,Picture 9).

9. SMS Sent

If SMS Media is selected and user uses any service, he will get a reply as shown (Picture
10).

10. Exit application

When user is exiting application it will ask for confirmation (Picture11).

Advantages of Application

Since every user has his/her mobile with him/her all the time, service will be available
24X7 providing user has data connection or SMS facility.

This application is compatible with almost all versions of android available today in
market.

Minimum Version of android – Android 2.0

Installation file size – 574KB

Minimum Memory On disk – Less than 5MB

Data Connection – Preferably 3G/WI-Fi, GPRS
