a) The Z·50 LS aircraft is intended for execution of aerobatic
maneuvers within the range of requir~ments of top
aerobatic competitions when maintanin~ the IJmitations
outlined by Section 2.

'The empennage i$ of a mixed construction~{th a metar
structura covered with duralumin sheet and with fabric. The
stabilizer has an external strutting, tbe fin is 6f a
.dmtilever type •. The' elevator is equipped with an automatic
balance tab and a controllable trim tab. On the rudder is

Caution:
( 1) Every exceeding the ma~i~D~ continuous speed (i.e.
2 700 RPM) must be entered in the ~ngirie Log Book.
(2) When exceeding the'maximum short-period speed (i.e.
2 970 RPM), the engine check must be performed in
accordance with the Lycoming Service Bulletin No.369 -
- the la~e8t valid edition.

(2) The permanent use of aviation ga~oline with the tetraethyl

this aviation gasoline, instructions shown in the Technical
Manual of the Z 50 LS should be followed. .

The radiostation is installed to permit the air-to-ground
communication •
The radiostation' box is loc~ted on an auxiliary panel under
the instrument panel .. The VHF push button is placed on the
throttfe lever. Located in the right portion of the instrument
panel is a socket for connecting the earphones ..

The radiostation control panel'contains :
noise squelch (SQ) in upper portion
- lighted frequency scale
two frequency selectors : LHfor the range 4n MHz .

loadness setting knob acting also as a radiostation main
switch in ~oWer portion.
Radiostation actuation:
(1) J'ust before turning the radiostation ON, the MASTER SWITCH
and the BATTERY switch -<should be turned ON; during
engine run, the GENERATOR switch should

(2) Insert the earphone pin plug into the earphone socket.
(3) Turn the RADIO switch ON.

the same knob.. .
(6) DUring transmission l push the VHF button located on the
.throttle fever.
