1.4.1 Calibration
Calibration certificate for brand new level instrument is given by the manufacturer while a periodical
calibration would be carried out in reputed institute and two peg level tests on the leveling instrument would

point, the Chanel center line would be marking at every 10m interval on the Chanel with the suprvisio of
Engineer. Chain age would be marked on the Chanel center line in each 10m respectively.
1.4.5 Correction
According to the Engineer’s instructions, corrections if any, would be made and they would be followed for
the remaining work.
The cross section survey would be commenced as soon as line is marked and approved by the Engineer.
Level of the cross section will be taken at every chain age point marked that is on 10m interval on the center
line.
In accordance with RDA, traffic control methods the following traffic operation procedure would be adopted
in order to control traffic.
Men at work 100m ahead sing boards would be placed on both left hand side of the road.

and longitudinal profiles which are available at Ocean Pathway (both hard & soft copy) would be submitted
to the Engineer along with back up data sheets for approval.
