Skill Shortage List Application Purpose Form: Qualifications Recognition Services
Skill Shortage List Application Purpose Form: Qualifications Recognition Services
Before you complete this form, please ensure you do the following:
Check the latest Skill Shortage Lists on the Immigration New Zealand website (https://bit.ly/2GDZQuE)
and make a note of the date of the list (on the first page).
For your nominated occupation on the Skill Shortage List, check that your qualification meets the
requirements listed. Make a note of the occupation name and code.
In the form below, ensure you enter only ONE Occupation Group, Occupation and Occupation Code so
that your qualification(s) can be assessed correctly for your nominated occupation.
IMPORTANT
If you are submitting a post-bachelor qualification for assessment against the Skill Shortage List, please
also submit all relevant undergraduate qualifications (e.g. bachelor degree) as supporting documents.
This is required for us to be able to process your application correctly. Please note that only the
nominated qualification(s) will be assessed, not the supporting documents.
The IQA provides an assessment of which level your overseas qualification compares to on the New
Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF), and, where possible, to a New Zealand qualification type.
The Skill Shortage List may also list other documents that need to be provided to Immigration New
Zealand (for example, a letter from Engineering New Zealand for some engineering occupations). NZQA
does not provide these additional documents; you will need to contact the relevant authorities and
apply to them directly.
Please complete the fields below. Incomplete or missing information will cause delays.
