This daily lesson plan is for an 11th grade UCSP class on statuses and roles. The objectives are to discuss statuses and roles, explain their relationship using illustrations, and assess social interaction rules. Students will analyze pictures and discuss their own statuses and roles. They will be assigned topics on statuses and roles to present. Groups will illustrate the relationship between statuses and roles, and discuss rules for social stability and innovation. Students will evaluate their understanding of statuses, roles, and social interaction. Finally, they will complete a table comparing socialization and enculturation.
