Definition
Ir 4.0 is a name for the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing
technologies. It includes cyber-physicial system, the internet of things, could computing and
cognitive computing.
The fourth industrial revolution takes the automation of manufacturing processes to a new level by
introducing customized and flexible mass production technologies.

This means that machines will operate independently, or cooperate with humans in creating a
customer-oriented production field that constantly works on maintaining itself. The machine rather
becomes an independent entity that is able to collect data, analyze it, and advise upon it.

This becomes possible by introducing self-optimization, self-cognition, and self-customization into


the industry. The manufacturers will be able to communicate with computers rather than operate
them.

ONE OF THE FEATURES OF THIS FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION IS


THAT IS DOESN’T CHANGE WHAT WE ARE DOING, BUT IT CHANGES US.

Why Industry 4.0? It is extremely relevant and increasingly important in manufacturing for a
multitude of reasons.
The reasons why industry 4.0 is important are the benefits. It helps manufacturers with current
challenges by becoming more flexible and making reacting to changes in the market easier. It
can increase the speed of innovation and is very consumer centered, leading to faster design
processes.
Workers can become coordinators at the center of production, possibly improving the work-life
balance of employees. Industry 4.0 is sustainable long-term, assisting in finding solutions for any
challenge that arises.
So, why Industry 4.0? Because we can help you incorporate it, and all of these benefits, into your
current manufacturing, leading you into a sustainable and profitable future

In order for this to change, we must revisit the educational paradigms, and focus on the areas that need
rethinking. In today’s new world of fast changing technology and information overload, students need to be
trained and not taught. Information needs to be made accessible and students need to learn how to find it rather
than the teacher offering it to them in a rigid structure.

We now understand that students are not alike, do not have the same starting point, can learn and absorb different
areas of focus differently and need to be guided to develop their skills rather than taught a set of predefined data
points. Education 4.0 needs to align with Industry 4.0 and prepare students for the next industrial revolution
which will happen in their lifetime.

INDUSTRY 4.0 AND ITS IMPACT ON EDUCATION


1. Student need to develop new ways of communicating; they need to be put in front of complex situations to
develop critical thinking and complex problem solving and to learn how to be imaginative, creative,
adaptable, flexible and to develop brain plasticity.
2. They must be critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, communicators, and provide value driven
leadership. They must be able to see beyond the technology at play to the implications for society for the
use of that technology.
3. school need to adapt to the demands of the RI4 and have the obligation to give as many
opportunities as possible by creating the adequate contexts for students to be prepared for the
future jobs.

Like the revolutions that preceded it, the Fourth Industrial Revolution has the
potential to raise global income levels and improve the quality of life for populations
around the world.

according to the opinion Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, The industrial


revolution 4.0 gave an opportunity for Indonesia to innovate. The revolution which focused
on developing the digital economy was considered beneficial for Indonesia. Digital economy
development is market and talent, and Indonesia has both. he industrial revolution 4.0 gave an
opportunity for Indonesia to innovate

Indonesia to prepare human resources for industry 4.0


UMKMs must be able to understand and easy to have access and use technology that they
would be more competitive

Indonesian government will improve the ability of Indonesian workers in the face of the
fourth industrial revolution based on science, technology, and innovation.

The government will create two policies, namely strengthening access and quality of
education for vocational training, and preparing training funding and fund assistance for
layoff victims.

there would be an increase in productivity by adoption of technology and innovation and


there would be 10 million new jobs created by 2030.
