Intended for Grade 7

I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:


a. Describes the nature and background of the dance.PE7RD-IIId-1
b. Executes the skills involved in the dance.PE7RD-IIId-h-4
c. Monitors periodically one’s progress towards the fitness goals.

Say to your seatmate “welcome classmate, I’m glad “Welcome classmate, I am glad that you’re here!”

Okay. Everybody stand now and prepare yourself for a


prayer.

Before you sit down, arrange your sit and pick up the
pieces of paper. (student do as the teacher says)

B. Motivation
Pinoy Henyo
A student will be pick from the list and will act out the
word or phrase without uttering any sound, then the
class will guess the word or phrase.
1st word: Dancing Bird
1st word: Dancing Bird
2nd word: Song Bird
2nd word: Song Bird

C. Lesson Proper
Today our topic has something to do with the dancing
birds.

ave you seen a bird dancing?


Not yet ma’am.
It’s okay because today you will learn and will dance
like a bird.

Are you excited?


Yes ma’am!
 Activity
Before we proceed to our activity, let us first
understand how this dance was formed and where did
it really started.

Kindly pay attention as I play the slideshow and please


do take some notes, just get the key points in each
slide for your study reference. (student do as the teacher says)

Do you have any question? None ma’am.

Okay. Everybody stand and round your chair at the


side, we will be needing a big space. (student do as the teacher says)

Please form a row of five students, we will do the


Physical Fitness Assessment to warm-up.

What did you feel while dancing? I feel like I am really a bird because I imitate their
action.

That’s nice to hear.


Because flying birds is one of the beautiful scenery
Why do you think it become one of the official folk in Bantique that’s why the folks were inspired to
dances in the Philippines? imitate the graceful movements of the “lapay” or
the birds. Then became the local folk dance.

Very well said. Thank you.

 Abstraction
How do you think can this type of dance will improve
your physical health? Through dancing we were able to exercise our
muscle, proper breathing and posture.

Very good. But how do you think can we sustain this


kind of dance so it will not be forgotten in the coming
generations? Through educating the young and making it part in
the activity especially during school festival or
Buwan ng Wika celebration.

That’s a great idea! I hope this class will initiate to


make it possible.

make a 2-3minutes routine combining all the three (3)
steps in any order you like.
