Person Being Interviewed: ATTY.

RODRIGO GALVEZ RUPINTA with office address

at Rupinta Law Office located at P. Burgos St. Tanqui, City of San Fernando, La
Union
Place of Interview: McDonalds, Quezon Avenue, City of San Fernando, La Union
Questions:
1. What are your usual job or tasks?

I am a private practitioner. As a private practitioner, I appear most

of the time in the courts for litigation. Usually, I am handling civil cases
specifically annulment of marriages and adoption cases.

Seldom that I stayed in my law office. My former part-time secretary

was then left in the office to entertain clients.

2. What are the problems or challenges you have experiencing or

encountered in your law office?

In the office, one of the problems that I encountered is when the case
folder of one of my clients was missing where original documents/papers
were attached thereto. I then requested the client to secure another
original copies of said documents. I also experienced meeting with a rude
client in my law office.

3. What are the common concern of clients?

I am a lawyer specialized in annulment of marriages, hence most of

my clients are those who have marital problems. They also asked me about
child custody and support and partition of properties, if any.

4. Do you do multi-tasking? How do you do it?

Yes, of course. At present, since I have no secretary and messenger

yet, I am the one doing their job. I am a hands-on lawyer. Never that I
entrusted my paper works to other people, not even to my former secretary.

5. How do you entertain clients?

I entertain walk-in clients by asking them if what I can do for them

upon entering my law office. I will ask their concerns or problems and how
to resolve it. Same as true with clients inquiring thru phone calls.

6. What if the clients have no money, do you still entertain them? Why?

Yes, with or without money, I entertain clients. It is my sworn duty

as a lawyer to entertain clients regardless of their financial status in life.
Honestly, my law office is an extension of Public Attorney’s Office (PAO)
considering that I give legal advice to walk-in clients for free, no
consultation fee, whatsoever, being paid by them.

7. What can you say about your office set up? Describe it?
My law office is only a typical law office. It is only a rented room with
an aircon and electric fan where I can entertain clients, give legal advice
and help them how to resolve their problem. What is important to me is
that I have my own chair and table, chairs for clients and my personal
laptop.
