Bad Genius Reflection Paper 2
Bad Genius Reflection Paper 2
Watching the film, Bad Genius, gave me abundant cyclones of impacts. Lots of wisdom went in
to my innocent mind after viewing it. It took me couple of days before finally moved on to that
film because it was unexpectedly fabulous, tremendous, and marvelous, you name it.
I, myself admit that I’m not that really fascinated about movies from foreign countries, except
big screens from America and Korea. I really don’t have the eagerness to finish that Thailand film
entitled Bad Genius if not just for the obligation and accountability as a student to finish it in
order to make a reflection paper associated with the subject Statistics and Probability. I was just
really watching the aforesaid movie without any traces of fascination seen in my face but as the
movie continues I can’t help but scream out of anxiety specifically on the portions of the film
wherein the protagonist namely, Lynn was about to get caught doing something dirty at her seat.
From that moment, I began to feel the sense of interest to the point that I realized that I already
had the willingness to witness the denouement of the above said film.
The portrayal of the actress to the main character of the movie was remarkably great and
thumbs up for her. Also, for the other characters, I salute them all. But among all of the people
making the film the playwright of the script is the one I’m most astonished of. The writer was
exceptionally excellent and hats off for that individual. I was just amazed by the concept and all.
The technicalities and strategies invented in the movie was undeniably astounding particularly
by the part of the film in which they had planned the cheating operations, especially for the STIC
Test wherein it gives off fifty percent chance of either getting caught cheating or succeeding the
plan.
If I will be given a privilege to be in the shoes of Lynn- the protagonist, along with that kind of
remarkable intelligence, I’m afraid I might do the same thing. Envisaging the situation wherein
it’s only me and my father and that there’s no one we can lean on whenever we’ll run into some
earthshaking life situation, I think I’ll also do that dirty work in order to earn money for future
use. Though I’ll be granted a scholarship because of my cleverness, I don’t think it’ll be enough
considering the fact that scholarship is intended for studying and doesn’t involve other
maintenance. However, just like in the abovementioned film, a blistering realization would
probably hit my conscience afterwards and live my life just like how it should be, similar to the
ending of the aforementioned movie.
The film was probably entitled in that manner because one wasn’t able to use the intelligence
that was given from above in a rightful way. The intelligence possessed by the certain person was
used to operate a cheating scandal and was used as an armament for all the exam takers who
wasn’t as bright as the protagonist. After all, there is only one moral that the film tries to imply
and that is honesty.
Bad Genius”
(Reflection)
Doing the first priority of others is an easy task for an individual with a kind heart. Having an
intelligent mind is a blessing from our Almighty. On the other hand, it must be used in a decent
way.
At first, I was questioning about the title of the movie. Why is the title of it is “Bad Genius”?
Rendering to the movie, the girl named Lynn is a bright student of Grade 12 who is just a
transferee. She has an enormously of honors from her different subject areas from her past
studies. As she go along with her classmates and friends, she's ready to clarify them the cheating
code or to be specific the piano code. She's ready to risk the half percentage of her life just for
the exchange of money from the students who pay her in exchange of the answers in every
exams and half of it is for her benefits. She can't say no to someone who need her relief since in
fact, she have the chances to decide on whether she'll help her classmates and friends to have
the answer keys or she'll just leave them alone and neglect everything and focuses by her own.
With that, she can't blame herself why she have that kind of attitude in risking her life just to
earn money. At this point, I am disappointed by the intelligence of Lynn because she is not using
her brain in a proper way. She can have the tutorial to her classmates and friends but not at the
chances of using it in a bad manner.
Therefore I conclude that, there's this fifty percent of my adoration to Lynn because she's a
smart girl but the fifty percent remaining is my disappointments of her bad behavior giving the
fact that she is taking advantages of her IQ. Because of the story of Lynn’s life, that’s where I got
the answer of my questions why it was entitled as “Bad Genius”.

After watching the movie, Bad Genius, realization keeps on stricking my mind. I gained a lot of
learnings, insights and even opinions on how the public views the concept of the movie. The film
was full of power and complexity, it was like a dynamite bomb that blown my head and gave me
a pleasant horrendous effect.
I am really into watching Asian films, may it be a drama series or just a single movie, recommend
one and surely I'll be watching. But this one just caught my attention, may it be, because of
some reasons like, my classmates keeps on blabbering about the said movie, the theme was very
relatable as it is widespread to students like me, and that I want to finish it until the end because
we were instructed to make a reaction paper about the film. My expectations really pulled off
when we started watching, it was astonishing on how the plot surpassed what I was expecting
and on how the characters went beyond my anticipation.
The way the actress portrayed the main character was bizarrely astounding. Also, for the other
characters, I salute them all. But among all the people making the film the author of the story is
the one I’m most amazed of. The writer was incredibly superb, I was just really stunned by the
concept and all. The techniques and strategies invented in the movie was flabbergasting
particularly by the part of the film in which they had planned the cheating operations, especially
for the STIC Test wherein it gives off a matter of probability in fifty percent chance of either
getting caught cheating or succeeding the plan. All possible thrill gimmicks were used to enhance
the tension during that climactic series of events the movie.
If I will be the protagonist in the story, along with that kind of intelligence, I won't do the same
thing. Imagining the future wherein it’s only me and my father and that there will only be the
two of us alone in a heart shattering situation, I still won't do that dirty work. What will be the
use of my intelligence, if I'll just engage in a cheating crime? Money is not a solution for
everything, yes money may be important but let's consider the protagonist's status in life, they
may not be rich but they aren't street beggars. I won't risk my future for a little bit taste of
pleasure in short time.
In my opinion, the movie was entitled "Bad Genius", for the reason that, one used the gift from
above in an unrighteous way. And that there is only one moral that the film tries to imply and
that is honesty.
