Research Project

This document summarizes a research project on hyperactiveness among students. The researcher aims to identify hyperactive behaviors, understand their causes, and eliminate hyperactiveness to improve students' academic performance and ability to express themselves. The methodology involves encouraging extracurricular participation and contacting parents. Data collection analyzes students' attitudes and behaviors. Findings show eliminating hyperactiveness is key to educational success, as it allows students to speak up and improve prospects. Educational implications suggest using research data to address shortcomings and eradicate factors causing hyperactiveness among students.

1) Statement of the problem

Hyper Activeness – Hyper activity is state of being unusually or
abnormally active. Hyper activity is often difficult for people around
the hyper active person such as teachers, employers & parents

2)Need & importance of Research

It is important to remove Hyper Activeness among students because
students are more likely to succeed in academics when they are able
to express themselves. It is difficult for the teacher and the the
class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students
are having Hyper Activeness.

3) Objectives
The specific objectives of Hyper Activeness may vary but generally
include these main features:-

 To raise students achievement and close gaps in student

performance
 To identify the behaviour of student
 To reinforce and enrich learning
 To provide teachers information of their tasks
 To verify type of attitude among each and individual student.

4) Review of the related Literature

The record of each and every students behaviour is kept by teacher.
Often reserved students are introverts whose natural personalities
lend to a quieter, more thoughtful way of interacting. Students who
are having Hyper Activeness share certain personality traits:-

 Difficulty with holding focus on activities

 Giving the appearance of not listening while other people are
talking
 Experiencing difficulty with time management and task
organisation
 Getting distracted easily
 Avoidance of task that require prolonged focus

5) Tools
There are different strategies through which we can eliminate the
Hyper Activeness among students. They are as follows:-

 Be passionate about teaching & learning- We need to show

students that we are passionate about the subjects we teach.
 Encourage students to speak up their words
 Involve them in different activities of questioning and answering
 Find what is holding them back and tackle the situation
 Eliminate the fear of failure and rejection
 Don’t compare them with others

6) Methodology of the Research

When I started working on my research project “Hyper Activeness”.
I realized it is very essential part of the whole school system. It is
one of the main pillar on which students education rely upon.

So to eliminate ‘Hyper Activeness’ from students I adopted the

method of “encouraging” students for extracurricular participation.
After adopting this method I have realized that students are
speaking up, and interacting with everyone freely.

For those who are still not able to express themselves I contacted
their parents on phone & those who are unable to be contacted
through phone I went their home to find out the exact reason.
Therefore it is combined duty of teachers as well as parents to look
after the attitude of students, if not we must detect & diagnose the
exact reason for it.

7) Data collection & Analysis

Data collection is very essential and a bit difficult step of this
research .As I got the topic “Hyper Activeness” as research project,
I realized that it would be quite easy for me. But during the course I
realized its importance and also how difficult task it was. First we
need to understand the mindset of the students.

We need to observe students daily, analyse their attitude & try to go

into the depth to find out the exact reason.

As we collect the data about the student’s attitude and behaviour we

should start thinking over it. This can be done only by the joint
efforts of teachers as well as parents of the students are involved
for the betterment of the students.

8) Findings & Conclusion

As being a teacher we should mostly consider elimination of “Hyper
Activeness” as the key to success in education .It has been seen that
neglecting the Hyper Activeness among the students in the starting
months can predict poor performance.

When the students start expressing themselves, speak up they

improve their academic prospects and chances of having better
results. Therefore we can see the important role of elimination of
Hyper Activeness in a student’s progress .The best of education can
only be achieved if the student is able to express his/her emotions
and feelings.

9) Educational Implications
From the outlook of the elimination of the Hyper Activeness, the
records of the behaviour observed among the students, we can easily
find out the number of Hyper Activeness students.

Therefore the short comings must be eradicated by the teachers for

these students .The research data obtained through this project
reveals that there can be various reasons for Hyper Activeness
among students.

So on this detail research on “Hyper Activeness” I am very contended

in explaining the factors that play role in maintaining the attitude of
student and by several means through which we can improve the
attitude of students of class and make learning better.
