There is a lack of freedom given to teenagers today.

Do you agree?

The majority of teenagers today complain that they are not given sufficient freedom. Despite their
complaints, I believe that teenagers are given more than adequate freedom. Since teenagers are still
dependent on their parents, too much freedom can be bad for them.

There are many parents who are careerists nowadays. As they are too busy working, they can hardly stay
home to monitor their children. Teenagers often take advantage of their parents’ absence to hang out
with friends, watch television, play video games, et cetera. Rather than studying and doing their
homework, they also spend too much time on social networking websites. Since they have a lot of
freedom and barely anyone to supervise them, they tend to neglect their studies. Their negligence usually
have an adverse effect on their academic performance.

A lot of parents have no idea who their children hang out with. There is a Chinese proverb which
highlights the fact that spending time with decent friends influences us positively while mixing with bad
friends influences us negatively. When teenagers socialise with true and sincere friends with positive
character traits, their parents’ minds are put at ease. On the other hand, if they spend time with
undesirable friends with ulterior motives, they can get into serious trouble. They can be cajoled into doing
things that are harmful to their health such as smoking, drinking and doing drugs. They can also be
pressurised into doing things that are morally unacceptable like gambling and committing crimes, among
many other instances.

Teenagers today are also given a lot of freedom to work and earn their own money. While working at a
young age is beneficial to them as they can learn about responsibility and the value of money, they may
also spend their hard-earned money on inappropriate things like cigarettes and drugs. Whether or not
teenagers can cultivate good spending habits actually depends on their upbringing. Thus, parents who
teach their children well about good values normally do not have much apprehension about the way they
spend. Unfortunately, many boys and girls in their teens are provided with too much freedom when it
comes to spending. As a consequence, they spend their money however they want and often end up
making bad choices.

Excessive freedom is also given to teenage children to surf the Internet. While it is true that they are able
to learn about many beneficial things, the opposite is also true. They can, for example, encounter bad or
unsavoury characters who are capable of swindling and even harming them. Due to the fact that
teenagers are still young, immature and innocent, they are more vulnerable to tricks and scams.

In a nutshell, I disagree that there is a lack of freedom given to teenagers today. Although teenagers need
a certain amount of freedom to grow and experience life appropriately, too much of it is definitely
unfavourable to them. Since teenagers’ freedom is generally controlled by their parents, the latter should
monitor and adjust the amount accordingly so as to maximise the benefits to the former.
“The Internet is mostly a good thing.”
Do you agree? Support your opinion.

The Internet, which became available to the general public in the year 1991, is currently a worldwide
phenomenon. In our modern world, most people depend on it so much that it would be extremely
difficult to live without it. Hence, I do agree that the Internet is mostly a good thing.

Also known as the information superhighway, the Internet provides us information on almost anything
with great ease. It is like we have the world at our fingertips. Just name it - online library, books,
journals, newspapers, information on health, education, gardening, vehicles, astronomy and so forth -
they are all available on the Internet. With the satellite maps of virtually anywhere on earth, we know
how to get to places and never be lost again, even in a strange city.

The business world depends heavily on the Internet nowadays. Business deals are discussed and
transactions carried out through the Internet. Online shopping, which was unheard of decades ago, is
currently becoming the norm. A lot of people prefer online shopping to visiting shops or department
stores due to the security and convenience that the former provides. Many of the online sellers promise
next-day delivery of purchased goods. Thanks to the advancement of technology - the Internet, buyers
today no longer need to get out of their houses to get something. Similarly, Internet or online banking
enables individuals to perform banking activities at home via the Internet. Days when people had to exit
their homes to pay their water and electricity bills were gone. Consumers can now pay their utility bills
and make most other payments online with only a few mouse clicks.

People lacking the time or means to travel out of their homes or countries to further their studies can
now do so using the distance learning or e-learning method. There are many online universities and
even prestigious traditional universities offering online courses. Students taking such courses are able to
learn remotely through the Internet without being in the regular face-face contact with a teacher in a
classroom. Since interactions between the students and teacher are done online, their locations do not
pose a problem. E-learning programmes are usually more affordable and furthermore, students are
allowed to progress at their own speed. Therefore, distance learning education offers much more
flexibility compared to traditional tertiary education.

The Internet has tremendously improved the way we communicate with one another. Nowadays we are
able to communicate with people across the globe at high speed. In the past when people
communicated via correspondence, letters could take days and even weeks to arrive at their
destinations. Presently, we are able to see people who are faraway and speak to them in real time, as if
the person is right in front of us, through videoconferencing and video calling. Online chatting and
instant messaging allows the real-time transmission of text messages from sender to receiver and vice
versa, while emailing allows the delivery of both long and short messages within seconds.

In a nutshell, although some people may misuse the Internet for bad intentions, I believe that it is
mostly a good thing if we use it wisely. Undeniably, the Internet is a rich resource for learning. Let us do
the right thing and make the Internet a blessing instead of a curse.
Examinations - good or bad?

Whether we like it or not, examinations are part and parcel of our life. Apparently, most people
dislike examinations as they are tedious and a lot of preparation is required. Despite the fact, I
believe that examinations are actually good for us due to a number of reasons.

First of all, we may not realise that we go through examinations each day. For instance, when
dining at a restaurant, we discover that the food served is awful. After the unpleasant
experience, we may never return to the same restaurant again. Although we may not be aware,
the food has just gone through an ‘examination’ by us. In the same way, academic examinations
are a way to set standards and maintain quality. They are essential or else there would hardly be
any standards by which we live. Consequently, the lack of improvement in all aspects would
arise.

Secondly, examinations keep us accountable for our actions. They are the driving force behind
our diligence. Without examinations, we tend to slack in our schoolwork, not to mention our
complacency. When examinations are a norm, we know our limits. Even though we will still have
fun, we will make sure that we are under control. Since we are aware that examinations will
come, we know what our priorities are and will keep our behaviour in check.

Examinations stimulate our learning desire. Obviously, it is better if we learn for the love of
knowledge and not because of examinations. Unfortunately, not everybody thinks this way -
most people go to school just the sake of doing so. The existence of examinations may motivate
their desire to learn. Through learning, they may discover their strengths and what they really
love. Subsequently, they no longer study just to do well in examinations, but for the thirst for
knowledge. That is definitely a positive change that examinations can possibly bring about.

Examinations help us to know what is important in each subject. If we only learn without
examinations, there is no sense of what is the most important or the subject matter in each
topic. Examinations usually tests important and useful topics. Through the drills, even if students
are unable to remember everything in the subject, they will not forget the important points
because of what they have studied for their examinations.

In conclusion, examinations are undoubtedly good for us. Since they set standards, keep us
accountable, stimulate learning and help us to distinguish what is vital from what is not, they are
actually a blessing in disguise. The fact that examinations have never been abolished is the best
evidence that they are good.
School children should not have long holidays. Do you agree?

When asked if school children should have long holidays, the answers of different individuals will
certainly differ. Some people have the opinion that school children should be entitled to long
holidays while the others disagree. From my point of view, school children should be given long
holidays. I have my own reasons for thinking so.

The freedom of school children is normally restricted by their parents during the school days as they
want their children to focus on their studies in order to pass their examinations with flying colours.
Apart from schooling, they have to spend a lot of time doing their homework and attending tuition
classes as well. As a result, they hardly have any time left for leisure pursuits. During school holidays,
more freedom is usually given and children are able to spend their time on activities that they are
fond of. For example, if children have green fingers, they can spend more time on gardening. They
can also spend more time on their favourite sports in order to keep fit both physically and mentally.

The arrival of long school holidays is also a good time for children to strengthen their family ties,
since families need to spend time together in order to bond. Examples of activities that assist to
develop close family ties are having a picnic at the seaside and playing sports and games. When
children involve in family activities such as cleaning the house and preparing a meal, they learn
about the spirit of cooperation and burden-sharing, thus promoting strong family ties. Besides, they
learn to be more independent and responsible when they do household chores such as washing the
clothes and dishes, sweeping the floor, laying the table before a meal, making their own beds, and
so forth.

Another reason why long holidays are necessary is that children need to meet other relatives and to
socialise with friends in the community so as to improve their interpersonal skills, since 'no man is an
island'. This can be extremely beneficial to them and helps them be better equipped especially when
they grow up and starts working in the society.

It is true that many parents face problems during long school holidays as their children waste their
time by spending it on undesirable activities such as playing too much computer games and getting
into bad company. However, I believe that such problems can be solved through proper planning,
guidance and time management.

Though there are disadvantages for school children to have long school holidays, the benefits far
outweigh the disadvantages. As the saying goes, 'all work and no play make Jack a dull boy'.
Therefore, I disagree that school children should not have long holidays.
What is the best way for teenagers to stay fit and healthy?

Teenagers are youngsters between 13 and 19 years of age. As teenage years are the period that
most of our growing occurs, it is of vital importance that teenagers stay fit and healthy to
facilitate the process.

In my opinion, the best way for juveniles to gain good health and fitness is through having a
balanced diet, an active lifestyle and a good night’s sleep.

Eating a balanced diet is a vital part of maintaining good health as it provides the essential
nutrients required for growth. Each of our meals should contain the 7 components of a balanced
diet - carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, unsaturated fats, protein, fibre and water - for optimal
health. Whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, poultry and fish contribute to a
balanced diet. Organic foods are better by comparison with inorganic ones as the former are
grown or farmed without the use of artificial chemicals, hormones and antibiotics which can be
detrimental to our health. Since about 60 percent of our body is made up of water, consuming
adequate water is also an important factor. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water is the ideal amount
for an adolescent’s body to function well.

The human body is built for movement. If we lead a sedentary lifestyle, health problems are
prone to arise. Hence it is wise to exercise a few times a week for about half an hour each
session. Even doing domestic chores, which brightens your parents up, is better than nothing at
all. Cardiovascular exercise helps to strengthen our heart and lungs while stretching reduces the
risk of injury by increasing flexibility. Strength training helps to strengthen our muscles. Other
benefits of doing exercises include preventing obesity and osteoporosis, improving blood
circulation and combating depression.

Sleep is crucial to our health because when we sleep, our body undergoes repair, growth and
detoxification. For instance, sleep is involved in the healing and repair of our heart and blood
vessels. As such, teenage boys and girls should get quality sleep of about 9 hours each night.
Sleep improves brain performance and therefore teenagers with sufficient sleep tend to learn
and memorise more effectively. Thus, they also tend to perform better academically. Apart from
that, sleep also helps to prevent inflammation and obesity, spur creativity, reduce stress levels
and boost our immune system, among many other advantages. Therefore, it is important to
cultivate good sleep habits like going to bed at the same time every night and make sure that
your bedroom is dark and quiet when you go to sleep.

Although there are numerous other ways for teenagers to stay fit and healthy, the 3 factors
mentioned above are some of the most effective, from my point of view. Undeniably, teenagers
today face more challenges and pressure. It is therefore essential for them to realise the
importance of staying fit and healthy in order to live life to its fullest and tackle challenges and
problems that come along with confidence.
Why are animals important to human beings?

There are a number of reasons why animals are important to human beings. The main reason is that
animals benefit us personally, socially and economically.

Since the time of our cavemen ancestors, there have been interactions between humans and
animals. Animals can be our friends, companions, protectors, benefactors and comforters. Research
studies indicate that people who own pets and have close bond with them have higher self-esteem.
They are also generally happier and healthier. There are many reported cases in which pets
protected their owners and family members. In the United States, a pet dog alerted its owners that
their babysitter was abusive. A couple who hired a babysitter to take care of their baby noticed that
their pet dog was aggressive to the babysitter. Upon investigation, they discovered that their child
was abused by the babysitter.

Animals provide many other benefits to humans. Insulin, a hormone in our body which controls the
amount of sugar absorbed by our blood, could not be artificially produced previously. It had to be
derived from cows and pigs. Nowadays, even though animal insulin has largely been replaced by
artificial human insulin, the former is still available on prescription. Trained guide dogs are available
to serve as loyal companions and ‘pairs of eyes’ for the blind. In the past, hunters took along hunting
dogs to track, sniff out and catch wild game. When night fell, the canines were the hunters’
companions and protectors. In rehabilitation centres, animals are used to help the sick recover. For
instance, petting a pony helps to lift a sick child’s spirit.

Throughout history, animals have helped humans. We use animals to work for us. In the agricultural
sector, oxen pull ploughs before seeds are planted in the soil. We use horses for transportation
purposes. They pull carriages and covered wagons for us. Even though oxen and horses are rarely
used for farming and travelling purposes respectively today, the horses are still being used for riding
and racing. They are also used to participate in contests in order to win awards. Farmers depend on
animals such as cattle, poultry, sheep, goats, among others, for their livelihood. They sell the
animals’ meat, milk and eggs to earn money. In the fishing industry, although the use of modern
equipment and technology have replaced the use of animals to catch fish, fishermen in some parts
of the world still use animals like dolphins, otters and cormorants for the purpose.

Another indirectly way in which animals help us is that they assist in the reproduction of a variety of
fruit and vegetable crops, which are an important part of our healthy diet. Without animals to help
disperse seeds and pollinate plants, many of them would have become extinct.

In conclusion, animals are important to human beings because they benefit us socially, personally as
well as economically. Since they are of great benefit to us, we should treat them well.
How to keep oneself healthy

There is a saying, 'health is better than wealth'. The saying is extremely true - a man may be
immensely rich, but without health, he can hardly enjoy his wealth. Since health is so important,
how does one keep oneself healthy?

One of the most effective ways to keep fit is through exercising. Doing exercise helps to reduce the
risk of contracting heart diseases and getting stroke. Other than that, it also helps to decrease the
risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure and colon cancer. People who exercise regularly are
able to maintain healthy bones, muscles and joints. Therefore, it is advisable to do exercise such as
walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, doing push-ups, skipping, playing sports, et cetera three to four
times a week for about half an hour per session to maintain good health.

Having a balanced diet is another key factor in ensuring a healthy life. It is important to eat food that
is rich in nutrients. Fresh fruits and vegetables are rich sources of vitamins and minerals that are
essential in order to keep fit. For strong bones and teeth, drink more yogurt and milk and eat more
cheese. Other food that contributes to a balanced diet includes fish, poultry, eggs, beef, beans, nuts
and tofu. It is advisable to avoid food that contains too much sugar as it causes bad health. The same
goes for junk food and also food made from refined flour as a lot of nutrients are destroyed during
the refining process. Unfortunately, most bread is made from refined flour nowadays. It is best to
increase the intake of natural foods as they contain plenty of natural goodness which we cannot do
without to possess good health.

It is wise to avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, since they damage our lungs and livers respectively,
besides bringing forth other harmful effects to our bodies. Taking drugs can be a serious problem as
it usually causes addictions, diseases and cancers. In serious cases, it may even cause deaths. Thus, it
is advisable to stay away from drugs.

Having sufficient sleep is also a vital factor. Every day, school children, teenagers and adults should
get 10 to 11 hours, 8 to 9 hours and 7 to 9 hours of sleep respectively. The insufficiency of sleep can
lead to serious heart problems, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes and obesity. To improve the
quality of our sleep, it is important to sleep in complete darkness, since artificial light interferes with
the production of hormones or chemicals that tells our body to rest. If we are unable to eliminate
the light in our room, then wear an eye mask.

Over-eating and under-eating can give rise to health problems as well. Therefore we should eat the
right amount of food each meal.

About 70 percent of our body is made of water. Since our body is constantly using it up, we need to
drink about 8 glasses of water daily to replenish it. Water is needed to flush toxins out of our vital
organs, carry nutrients to our cells and provide a moist environment for our ear, nose and throat
tissues. It also cools our body through the process of perspiration. When sweat evaporates from our
skin, it takes heat with it and lowers our body temperature.

In conclusion, it is extremely vital for us to do everything in moderation. As long as one cultivates

good habits and leads a healthy lifestyle, it is not difficult to keep oneself healthy.
Why is having good neighbours important?

Neighbours are people who live next door or near to us. If we live in a neighbourhood with good
neighbours, we are fortunate and blessed. Good neighbours are extremely helpful and make our
stay safer and more enjoyable.

I am lucky to live in a neighbourhood with mostly good neighbours. My whole family is very close to
our next-door neighbours. Just like our family, theirs is comprised of four members - Encik Ramlan,
his wife Puan Aini, his daughter Fatim and his son Asraf. Fatim and Astraf are in the same age group
as me and my brother. Every evening and weekend, we play together and there is never a dull
moment. We often study together and help one another with our homework too. In the mornings,
our mothers visit the market together. After that, they go jogging in the park. Since our fathers share
the same hobby of fishing, they go fishing at weekends by a river which is nearby our houses.

Good neighbours can be helpful as well. When my family are away on holidays, we request our
neighbours to keep an eye on our house. They are also willing to help us water our plants and feed
our pets. ‘Neighbours are better than relatives that live far away’ is a Chinese proverb that explains
the importance of having good neighbours. Due to the fact that they live in close proximity to us and
spend more time with us, they are more intimate to us. Naturally, they can offer us better assistance
when we face problems.

During the previous school holidays while we were visiting my grandparents in a village, a burglar
attempted to break in our house. It was about midnight and Fatim was doing her holiday assignment
by the window of her room when she heard rustling noises from our house. Upon looking out of the
window, she saw a burglar trying to prise open a window of our house. At once, she raced
downstairs. Her parents, who were watching television in the living room, were quite surprised to
see her in such a hurry. After informing them what was transpiring, Encik Ramlan called the police
immediately. When the policemen arrived, the burglar had broken in our house and was ransacking
it. The policemen acted professionally and apprehended the burglar successfully within ten minutes.
We were extremely grateful to them for their benevolence.

Having good neighbours is important because it makes our life in a neighbourhood safer, happier
and more fun. We also tend to have more peace of mind. Although we can choose our friends but
not our neighbours, we must remember that we get what we give. As the saying goes, ‘do unto
others as you would have them do unto you’. Therefore, we should at least try to be good
neighbours in order to build good relationships with our neighbours.
Pollution

Pollution is an issue of concern in the modern world that we live in today. There are many types of
pollution, namely air, water and noise. Pollution in our environment will undoubtedly affect our
quality of life. Our naturally beautiful world becoming ugly because it is suffering from the effects of
environmental pollution. Pollution can also cause various health problems and other negative
effects.

Air pollution is caused by the emission of toxic gases from vehicles, factories and open burning.
Nowadays, there are more and more vehicles on the road as society gets more affluent. More and
more people strive to have a better quality of life by having the convenience of driving to their
destinations instead of taking public transportation. Automobiles provides transport to millions
people around the world to enable them to travel to their workplace, school and other places,
therefore, the air around us is getting more polluted by the carbon dioxide that is emitted. Carbon
monoxide is another type of gas which harmful to the environment as it can cause the reduction of
oxygen in the bloodstream.

Another example of contributor to the air pollution is the manufacturing factories. The
manufacturing of products in factories to meet the growing demand of society is also causing air
pollution. Factories release toxic gases to the environment. Some factories also use coal to generate
heat and energy. As a result from the burning of coal, carbon dioxide is released into the
environment.

Besides factories, many people are still practising open burning as a way of disposing their
household wastes. Although burning our household wastes is a convenient way of getting rid of our
rubbish, it is harmful to the environment as it contributes to the worsening of the air quality. As a
result, air pollution causes people to suffer from health problems such as chest pain and asthma. In
extreme cases, people can contract lung cancer.

Water pollution is also a problem that we are currently facing. The marine life is the first to
suffer from water pollution as they depend on the nutrients in the water to survive. As a result, we
are robbed of beautiful sea corals and unique species of fishes. Besides ruining our marine heritage,
the disappearance of marine life will affect the livelihood of fishermen, not to mention our source of
food. Water pollution is caused by harmful waster from industries, farms and sewerage systems
which are dumped into our sources of water such as rivers and lakes. This irresponsible act
contaminates our drinking water and can cause serious health problems and can even culminate in
death.

Noise pollution is another form of pollution. Noise from heavy machinery and vehicles can
cause hearing problems and in extreme cases, deafness. As there is growing number of vehicles on
the road, we are exposed to noise pollution every day. The government in advanced countries
encourage their citizens to take the public buses and trains by providing an affordable and efficient
transportation system. This effort discourages people from driving their private vehicles and
consequently reduces the number of vehicles on the road.

We must work together to reduce pollution so that the future generations can live in a
healthy, unpolluted environment. As the saying goes, precaution is better than cure. Lets hands on
hands together by recycle and conserve the world for the better future.
Social Networking Website

A large number of internet users have joined social networking websites. A social network service is
an online service, platform, or site that focuses on building and reflecting of social networks or social
relations among people. For example is for those who wants to share interests and, or activities. A
social network service essentially consists of a representation of each user which known often as a
profile, his or her social links, and a variety of additional services.

Most social network services are web based and provide means for users to interact over the
internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Online community services are sometimes
considered as a social network service. In a broader sense, social network service usually means an
individual-centered service whereas online community services are group-centered. Social
networking sites allow users to share ideas, activities, events, and interests within their individual
networks.

In the last five years, they have been growing up more and more popular. This increase in their
popularity has led to a large number of members.

One of the many reasons why Yahoo!, MySpace and Facebook social networking websites have
increased in popularity is due to the fact that they cover a wide variety of different topics, issues and
interest. They do not just focus on one particular group of individuals or one particular issue. Their
policy is to invite as many types of internet users to join as possible. By this, it gives members a wide
selection of online friends to choose from.

If you are looking to join a social networking website that is more focused on creating friendships or
partnerships between internet users preferable with the same interests, then you will want to focus
on social networking websites. They have a particular focus. The prevalent websites focus on
important issues, topics and hobbies, such as pet owners, religion travel and others. So before you
join, think of an issue you are interested in and sign up for the website that focuses on that issue.

What really sets them apart from other websites? What is so special about them? These are
questions which have been asked by many who show interest in joining. Primarily, it is the
community. As mentioned, such social networking sites tend to focus on a particular topic, issue or
hobby. This means that if you are a keen traveller and you would like to speak to other keen
travellers, you will want to join a traveller’s networking sites.

The difference between these social networking sites and traditional ones is that you will
automatically be paired with hundreds, if not thousands, of other internet users who share the same
interests, views or beliefs as you. This is a big bonus to the members.

Another benefit to joining the social networking website is that you are, in a way, safer than those
who are members of other networks. Most of them require activation before joining the site. Before
activation can occur, many users are required to state their reasons for wanting to join the network
or they may be required to fill out a small questionnaire pertaining to determine whether or not
they have a genuine interest in the topic focused on by the network in question. By pairing you with
a group of individuals who share the same beliefs, views and interests as you do is advantageous to
members. It means that you do not have to spend hours researching a person or speaking to them
just to learn what they are or are not interested in. Therefore, this enables you to jump right in and
start making friends, almost as soon as you are granted access to the site that you have chosen. This
service gives the social networking websites a great edge over other websites.
Which do you prefer, living in the countryside or living in the city?

Countryside

I think living in the countryside is far better than living in the city. There are numerous of reasons
why living in countryside is the better than the city. The scenery, the streets, the people and the
paced are totally different compare to the city.

The first outstanding characteristic about the countryside is that it is beautiful and peaceful. The air
is fresh and the surroundings green. This is because the countryside is free from pollution, be it air,
land or noise pollution. There no such perfect peaceful view that you can see other than in the
countryside.

There are no crowded streets and heavy traffic in the countryside. Thus there are no fumes from
cars and smoke from factories buildings to pollute the air. The trees surrounded the countryside
help the people from inhaling the polluted air. The freshness smell of plant somehow helps the
people of the countryside to have a healthy life.

Furthermore, people in the countryside are more conscious of keeping their surroundings clean and
so there is little throwing of rubbish everywhere, only at designated places. This is unlike the cities
where if the garbage trucks do not collect the rubbish disposed by household or restaurants, the city
will be overflowing with rubbish! This will attract the mosquitoes, fly, rats and wild dogs to pollute
their surrounding that will cause them to have diseases like dengue and cholera.

Thirdly, heavy traffic and crowded streets increase the level of noise pollution. The honking of cars in
the streets is continuous and the crowds on the roads increase the hub of activity. There are also
sound of the machine used in manufacturing factories, loud radio in and out the mall. These add to
the noise of the city. Even if one lives in residential areas, one is never far from busy streets.

However, in the countryside, life is slow-paced. There is no need to rush around because there are
not too many places to go. Most places are close by and people can walk or cycle. Less vehicle used,
so less fumes is released.

The most heart-warming thing about the countryside is the attitude of people. People are friendly
and helpful. If there are any happy or festive occasions, everyone pitches in to help. This feeling of
cooperation and neighbourliness is what separates the countryside from the city.

In the city, people are too busy to take note of the people around. Some hardly even know their
neighbours. So they would not even be bothered about what happens to people around. This is why
the crime rate is increasing in the city because bystanders do not rush in to help if a crime is
committed on the streets.

The pace of life in the countryside is slow so people have more time to enjoy life as the day goes on.
Thus, for me to enjoy the quality of life, I prefer to live in the countryside.
